I love winter weddings! I got married in January in New York. It was pretty darn cold. Here is what I did. Lace dress with cashmere shawl. I had my moms mink that I planned on wearing, but on the day it was just too much hassle.

I kinda want lace too:)) I am thinking Allure 8764(not me,but similar build)

and these

This is me...IF I go the ballgown route this by AA cinderella but in white and waaay smaller:)
i got married in February - we got super lucky and it ended up being about 65 degrees that day but it was snowing earlier in the week.
@totheislnds: I love your veil. I love you dress too but your veil just sets everything off.
@ladyartichoke: Thanks so much! i remember being really worried it had too much volume but i'm happy with how it turned out :)
All these dresses are beautiful. I like the idea of some sort of cover up. I think lace is so pretty and very wintery!
This was my other favorite. http://www.priscillaofboston.com/Designer-Priscilla-of-Boston-Style-51196?&f5=POB I felt like a snow princess in this dress
@sooner365: Hello, what is the style number and maker of the second dress you posted, the fit and flare style? Thank you!
@aeroplane_jane: Maggie Sottero Quinlynn... so pretty huh?? I love it!
My dress was lace and sparkle, with a floral bling sash... I utterly adored it, and everyone thought it was very wintery... Sorry for some blurry pics; they are from various stages of alterations...

Also, I had a faux fur wrap that I added a rhinestone snowflake brooch to on the wedding day... :) Sorry the pic is so blurry--it's from my seamstress's iPhone camera...

I'll post some better pictures when I get some from the actual wedding (pro/guest)... :)
This one would be lovely for a winter wedding- or Fall wedding. Daughter planned a Fall wedding & ended up having a summer wedding due to a family illness. Never worn. Needs a bride! I'll post it in classified in case anyone is interested. :)

Just got married on 12/10 and we all were plenty warm (then again, it was 35 degrees in WI). I even hooked all the girls up with gloves and shawls. They LOVED them! I had a silver colored shawl with my "something blue" mittens. :D
I'm getting married in February (in Quebec) and this is my dress. I think the sparkly details make it kind of wintery :)

I am also renting this cloak to wear over it outside (not me or my dress):

@GreenEyedMoon: thanks! :) i loved it, too, and got so many compliments on it! it was from Etsy seller tiondesign (for just $35.99 plus shipping!)... it was awesome quality, lined and everything, very soft... :) i just wanted to give a shout-out to them since other winter brides might be interested...
@Jenofdnile: Hi weekend twin! (Yes I did that).
I'm having a outside wedding so I kind of want the ilussion of sleeves to make feel warm, I might end up wearing a small bolero or something. I like anotheroneofmany's picture with the fury.. is it called a chaul?
I like the sleeves in Pronovias' Pergola, the dress itself doesn't drive me crazy.

@anotheroneofmany: Oh man, I'm really tempted... I'm supposed to wear my grandmother's mink stole, but I really do LOVE the look of white furs instead. Oh well...
@DeathByDesign: OMG that cloak!! It's like Snowwhite or the Little Red ridding hood... Beautiful.
This was my second favourite dress and I think would suit a winter wedding

@Coffee cup: Haha when I tried it on over my dress, it reminded me of Belle from Beauty and the Beast!
We had our entire ceremony outdoors in a replica of the hotel bar in ice. It was about -7 or -8 at the time so it was pretty nice for December in Canada. I was pretty warm in my dress and little jacket (although my hands froze- hats off to the PP who wore mittens!).

Thanks! I can't wait until we have our pro photos with better shots of my dress...and my uggs :)
@FutureJessicaMcB: ...Uggs - great idea. p.s. you got married two days before my birthday. I love December. I did consider getting married in December even.
@FutureJessicaMcB: WOW! You look amazing! I know you expressed some dress doubts before, and I'm so glad that you stayed with the original! You look so pretty!
I got married in December and this is my dress! I did have a bolero I wore for the ceremony, but it didn't necessarily help keep me warm--I just liked the way it looked and wore it for modesty. I'd actually really wanted a dress with sleeves but couldn't find any I loved, so a bolero was a good compromise!

I am getting a lace top made to go over the top of my dress which will be removable. Something similar to the picture below.

Thanks a lot! I stayed with it out of desperation (the bridal salon wouldn't refund me and I didn't like any of the samples they offered me), but in the end I was really happy with it. Dress regret, live and learn.
OP I ordered Allure 8764 today in white!!! This is me in the sample, ivory and too big! But you can get the idea!
Also one from Mori Lee 2512 satin mermaid with TONS of bling but too much for my taste

Mori Lee dress, wasnt crazy about the corset back also

Casablanca 1995
You can't tell from the picture, but there is very subtle sparkle to it from crystals. I'm not a 'blingy' person at all, but this dress reminded me of snow. lol. I feel like Enzoani (and their less expensive Blue line) has a few wintery dresses.
oh wow, sorry for the huge picture!! my bad. also, for a coverup, you can get a lace or sheer 'jacket'. i've seen some that button in the back and literally blend in with the rest of the lace on the dress. so, it looks like the dress then you take it off for the reception! they also worked really well if you plan on wearing a belt or sash.
@rambleonrose: dont apologize, we like big pictures, shows the details! its a gorgeous dress!
No pro pics from the wedding day yet, but this was my dress for my winter wedding. I also had a faux fur wrap.
Love all your dresses ladies!
I'm getting married in March of 2013 (but having a winter wonderland theme
wedding)
Here's my dress Let me know what you think

I am getting married next winter and would like to see what other brides have picked. I live near Chicago, Illinois so it can be pretty chilly. Can I see your winter wedding dresses?
