Also a winter wedding in Traverse City! I’m still looking for a venue myself so it will be interesting to see what people come up with!

There are locations listed at Holland.org under meeting/event planner in the upper right hand corner, then click on the wedding resource guide on the bottom right. There are a lot of places offered. Good luck!

I’m having a winter wedding in Michigan too!  We’re having the ceremony and reception at Harbourfront Grand Hall in Grand Haven.  Bonus: The city just installed heated streets in this downtown area 😉

There is a really really pretty rustic place up here in TC… I just have to remember the name of it and I will let you know! It’s really really pretty!

Have you looked at Crooked Creek Ranch? I can’t find if their barn is heated. Honestly, I’m not sure you’re going to find what you’re looking for. A barn isn’t exactly a good place to try and heat (unlike a house, it has no inner walls and no insulation, and they’re not typically built airtight), and I’m not even sure that patio heaters would cut it, ESPECIALLY winter in northern Michigan.

Frog Pond Village might be similar to what you’re looking for?

However…your wedding is supposed to be in a little over four months, which means you might have a problem booking. You might be fine, since it’s the off season, but just a warning.

What if you had the ceremony inside of a barn, then had the reception inside of a rustic venue? I think people would be okay for about 30-45 with outdoor heaters… that way you’d still get the rustic feel.

http://www.fieldofflowersfarm.com/CatOutput.cfm?c=3 (this isn’t the place I am thinking of but it’s really pretty)

I don’t know if the barn is heated but you could always rent a few heaters and put them in places where you wouldn’t be able to see them?

I really wish I could find the other place….. it sounds like it would have been perfect but I can’t find it. I found it once when I was searching for places and I am not sure how I searched to find it…. I want to say it was like up by suttons bay or maple city and it was not a winery or anything… if I find it, I will post asap!

Or might try Toronto.  I know it’s kind of a pain since we can’t just cross like we used to anymore, but it might be worth the look.
