Hi guys! I’ve been a lurker on this website for a while but now that I am seriously starting to shop for a dress I thought it time to make my first post!

So I fell in love with a winter wedding for a few reasons, but one was because I can wear a cutesy hooded cape: http://www.dhresource.com/albu_283906082_00-1.0×0/2013-hot-bridal-cape-ivory-stunning-wedding.jpg
However, I’m also REALLY attracted to veils. I figured I could wear one for the ceremony and then take it off, or wear it low so that it isn’t visible with the cape, but am I just being greedy? Do winter brides usually forgo the veil for the cape? I have absolutely no idea.
Thank you for your help!!

JTrain: I’m wearing a faux fur shawl for my winter Ontario wedding, and a bird cage veil. I think you can wear both. Cape for outside and pictures, and veil for the ceremony. The cape looks cozy!

Love the cape–maybe change to veil for reception?

winterwoodlandbride15: Sounds absolutely gorgeous! 🙂 That’s what I’m considering doing, I just love both looks so much!
shesheb: LOVE the pictures! That’s definitely what I’m picturing cape-wise! Thanks for the input!

I wouldn’t see a problem with that. Veil during ceremony and a few pictures, and the cape for the pictures as well. It will look pretty in the pictures, and you will be warm if you are taking pictures outside. It’s a win-win. 🙂
