Our families are both having showers for us in our hometown areas and they are scheduled for winter (between December and February) in areas that are known for getting snow and having cold winters.
Given the weather that will likely accompany the shower, I’m tripped up on what to wear! I would like to wear a dress, but I have no experience with dresses that would be appropriate for winter, much less dresses for winter that are good choices for a wedding shower.
Any ideas? Photos? Anything! Please! You’re help is very much appreciated!

If you’re going to be indoors you don’t really need to be too worried. Wear what you would to a Christmas party of equal formality. If you don’t have dressy boots, you can just switch your shoes when you arrive (if it’s a place that you would wear shoes inside).

What about a sparkly party dress? You could wear tights and boots.

I would wear a nice dress and opaque tights/heels/flats, or, if it’s more casual, a sweater dress with tights/boots. Or heck, even nice jeans with a nice top (if it’s definitley casual). You’re actually lucky because around November stores start releasing holiday party outfits – just avoid the new years eve sequins and you’ll be all good!

What about a sweater dress with boots. I love wearing them in the winter with leggings or a fun color of tites. Here are just a few ideas.

I agree with AB Bride.. If you have indoor function then you can wear anything and long boot also looks good with pants.
