- Wedding: July 2013
I decided to take on a LOT of DIY projects for our wedding… and now with 18 days until the big day, I’m cutting it close, but they’re almost there! 🙂
Wire Hangers (for me, and each of my bridesmaids): bent the wires by hand, Fiance drilled holes to attach them, and I decorated with rhinestones and flowers!
Bridesmaid Survival Kits: All that you see, plus some extra stuff I added after this pic was taken. All in a Vera Bradley cosmetics bag with their favorite design on it. 🙂
Table Numbers: Fiance helped sand them, I painted them (white, then silver, then about 20 coats of glitter paint.. ugh!), and decorated them.
Twig Bubble Wands (for the ceremony): The bubble wands themselves are finished, just waiting on Fiance to help drill a stand/display for them!
Coffee Bean Favors: The bags are done, just waiting for our (freshly roasted from a local roaster!!) beans to be done, and then I’m packaging them, and tying them with a little blue bow. 🙂
Escort Cards: All done except for the numbers (gotta do our seating chart first!). The flower is made of plantable paper with wildflower seeds in it, and the back reads: “Plant this seed-paper flower / under a thin layer of soil. / Add water and sunlight, / and watch it bloom. / With love and thanks / from the bride and groom!”
What DIY projects did you take on? Were there any you weren’t able to finish in time??
