Weddingbee boards

I figured I would start a new post to better collect all the details. For those of you just joining the conversation, we're having a Bee Meet-up in Madison.

Here's all the details (as we have them now):

WHEN? Saturday, May 8 at 3 p.m.

WHERE? Memorial Union Terrace, Downtown Madison

WHY? Because we love weddings, and we want to meet the lovely ladies we've been chatting with!

HOW? Want to meet up? Send me your details (via PM) - user name, real name and email address and I'll send an email before the event with final information. A phone number would be good too - if you're okay providing that.

PLUS - I'm making nametags and want to put all sorts of fun information on them!

Anything else you should know? Snow is bringing some awesome pomanders to help mark our table so you can find us. If it's nice, we'll be outside enjoying the view of the lake and a couple pitchers of Spotted Cow. If it's not - well, that's why I'm sending a pre-event email, so there will be a rain plan!

I was originally planning on attending but I close on my home on May 7th so regretfully I can't attend but I hope to get another one together in the Milwaukee area sometime in May. Have fun girls!!

Hi Ladies! The meet-up is just (barely) over a week away. Now, weather.com is currently predicting rain on Saturday – but again, since we’re 8 days out, I don’t know how reliable that is.

The plan:

Meet up at the Memorial Union Terrace (on beautiful Lake Mendota) in Madison, Wis. at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 8. http://www.union.wisc.edu/terrace/

I’ll try to get there a little early to snag a table. Snow – are you still planning to bring pomanders? If so, send me an email and maybe we can work together to get everything prepped at the terrace?

In case of rain I propose that we keep to the same area and just head indoors to Der Rathskeller: http://www.union.wisc.edu/food/rathskeller.html Unless anyone has a better suggestion?

We're now two days out from the meet-up (yippee!) and the weather seems to have cleared (double yippee!).

The official plan of attack: Outdoors. Terrace. 3pm. Spotted Cow. Bee there.

It's only supposed to be 53 though, so dress warmly.

Look for chairs with yellow and white poufs to mark where we are. Feel free to bring (drag) your fiance's along. I'm pretty sure mine will be coming with (because I'm making him).

So I lied. It's windy and cold. Let's take @Chillmer's advice and move this indoors. "To the Rathskeller!"

It was a nice, low-key meet up. 4 of us bees made it and 2 of us brought our fiances along (poor guys).
