Hi! I'm a Wisconsin Bride too! Ours is going to be for next June and it's on the lakeshore area!
Good Luck with your big day... it will be here before you know it :)
Shari
Hello fellow Wisc brides! Am in LaCrosse now, but born and raised in the Germantown area. Planning August 18,2012 wedding in LaCrosse. I have found these board postings to be humbling at how reasonable Wisconsin wedding are. $125/person for food???
Had my heart set on an outdoor wedding, but now am getting Winter wedding envy heinzsl Good luck girls.
My colors are chrome and eggplant ( which is grown up purple, BUT NOT VIKING PURPLE lol
I am getting anxious ...excited etc... We are planning a winter wonderland wedding.. alot of snowflakes...and bling. Our colors are silver, eggplant and fushia... December seems so close.... cannot believe it is August 1st in one day :)
I'm a Wisconsinite :) FI and I are getting married in Fond du Lac next year.
@Christine4RN: I know, I've seen some pretty outrageous costs on here! Could be because I'm in a smaller city and not Milwaukee or near Chiacgo though.
@Miss Otter: Where in Milwaukee are you having your wedding? I'm a Milwaukee bride too! October 22nd for mine! Good luck on your big day!
Hi everyone! I'm a Wisconsin bride as well! I'm currently living in Madison, but our wedding will be in rural Northeast Wisconsin, about 15 minutes east of Green Bay, next summer (July 2012) as that's where my fiance and I both grew up.
Congrats to everyone else planning a Wisconsin wedding in the near future, I look forward to talking to you all. :)
@msbadger7: I live in Madison too! I'm at UW, are you also? I noticed the "badger" in your name ;)
I am a WI bride. I live in Madison, but got married in the Dells last year. My husband is from the Milwaukee area and I am originally from as southwest as you can get before you hit Iowa. So we have most of the Southern part of the state covered!
@mrskesslertobe: lol, I'm familiar with that part of the state - one of my best friends lives in Kieler.
Can I be a WI bride? DH and I are from just acroos the border in IL - ceremony in IL, reception in IA, but now live and work in the Madison area now.
No Green Bay fans, though, sorry - DH is die-hard blue and orange ;) But I'll root for the UW anytime they can beat that nasty Iowa team. (Former Cyclone here :)!
Yay, more Madison brides! Sort of :P I'm not getting married in Madison but it's pretty much my home now.
The Packers vs Bears games shake the UW campus- so much cheering and booing no matter who scores! I'm all green and gold though :)
I'm technically a Chicago bride and live in California. BUT - my family has a place in Wisconsin (about 45 minutes NorthWest of Milwaukee) and we get to witness so many BEAUTIFUL weddings there. So, not a Wisconsin bride - but a Wisconsin bride fan :)
Oh, and my FI is a huge die-hard Packers fan even though he grew up in and around Chicago his entire life!
I'm a Wisconsin bride and live in the Lake Country area, praying for good weather next spring because this past one sure was crappy and cold!
Milwaukee bride here. Mine isnt until next year.Which I dont mind. I am so busy right now!
Getting married in a month and a half just outside Madison :D SO EXCITED FOR A WISCONSIN FALL WEDDING!
Also: Sometimes I hate our college sports and the world dairy expo --- My wedding is the weekend before that and the weekend OF the iowa game @ madison. When I booked my hotels (about a month ago... /smallrageatFMILbecauseshewassupposedtodothat7monthsago) there were no hotel rooms within a 30 minute drive of Madison. I hate to think what its like now!
Ooh! Me! I'm a Wisconsin Bride-- getting married at Hot Water Dance Club in Walker's Point (Milwaukee neighborhood) April 27, 2012! It's a challenge, as both my FH and myself are from WI, but live in Alaska. Long distance planning has it's frustrations, but we wouldn't get married anywhere else-- it's home.
@bonsai_spork: Autumn in Wisconsin is the BEST! Oh how I miss those COLORS. I have lived in several states, but no Autumn can beat Wisconsin's! Your wedding will be amazing-- Yay!
@hisgoosiegirl: THat''s funny. Not very many have even heard of Kieler. It is is so tiny. I am from Platteville, which is the big town down there!
*Raises hand* I'm a Wisconsin bride! I'm from St. Louis but FI and I moved to Madison 2.5 years ago. We're getting married up here in Sept 2012, and having a casual party/reception in STL a month later.
@galloway111: Yep, I'm at the UW! I just finished 4 years of undergrad, and now I'm starting law school here. :) And you definitely got my nickname! Guilty as charged. What can I say? After 4 years in the marching band and devoting what will be 7 years to this university, once a badger, always a badger. What are you studying?
Also, I've noticed a lot of southern WI brides on here (which makes sense, with Milwaukee and Madison being in the south...) any brides getting married in the northern part of the state like me?
@mrskesslertobe: just saw this - Platteville is a good town! I got my dress there -love those ladies!
@Christine4RN: My wedding date is 8-18-12 too!!!
I am from the Appleton area and we are getting married at St. Mary's Catholic Church and reception will be at Butte des Morts Country Club :) SO EXCITED!! HURRY UP 2012!!!
I was a Milwaukee, WI bride/wife. We had our reception at Hilton Milwaukee River. Other vendors were Gigi's of Mequon, Impressions Hair Studio (hair and makeup), Simma's (for black bottom cheesecake cupcakes). I can't remember some of our other vendors offhand.
Hi there!
I'm a Wisconsin bride from the Milwaukee area :) Getting married August 11, 2012 in northern WI.
@bonsai_spork: I bet your wedding was BEAUTIFUL! We went to check out our venue again that day to see other weddings set up. It was so gorgeous! Such a perfect day for a wedding.
Hello, I am a WI bride and I cannot wait for our Aug 11, 2012 wedding! We are getting married in our hometown about an hour north of Eau Claire
Hi, I'm a WI bride! FH is from Prairie Farm, I'm from Green Bay.
You can call us Northern!!
WI bride here too! Wedding in the Neenah/Oshkosh area. Grew up in the Waukesha area and have family from all over the state. June 30, 2012 is really flying up on me!
Yay Wisco brides! We live West of Milwaukee but are getting married in Green Lake. I grew up on a lake & my FI grew up in the Northwoods, so its a perfect mix...we will def have the whole rustic elegance theme going on :)
Hellooo Wisconsin! I am getting married in River Falls, so North West Wisconsin. We are only 40 minutes from the twin cities, but still in WI and still green and gold! I grew up near Fond du Lac, so this will be a whole state event!
cant wait for mine...exactly 10 months away in fontana, wi
Shout out to my Badger ladies! :) I'm at UW Madison right now! We're having our wedding in Eau Claire though, since that's where we both grew up.
