I have been plagued with guilt just thinking about this. The same kind of guilt that prevented me from breaking the engagement and going on with a wedding that I knew Isshouldn’t be in. But my cold feet came too late. Tickets had been bought. Things paid for. Relati ves coming from outside the country to be at wedding. Felt like I couldn’t let people down. The embarrassment and shame. So I went on hoping and prayingmy feelings were wrong. 2 months away from our 1st anniversary nowand I wish I had been more decisive in the beginning. Now I dont know how to get out and have to pretend that all is well. How long can I do this for? What have other people done when their fears and concerns pre wedding have only been confirmed after??

If your heart is telling you stop, you need to stop!! Can you go to counseling? Do you have cultural things holding you back? If you seriously can’t be with him forever, better to go now than to lie for the next few years.

I’m sorry you are not in a good place with your marriage. I think we need to know a whole lot more in order to be of any assistance.
