Hey! I just got my nails done with gells just because it's holiday and I love how they turned out!!! They are pretty with a pinkish beige color with a little bit of gold glitters woo hoo! I wish I have a sparkly to show off along with my new nails!!!
Btw, I've never heard of Solar nails. Is it good?
I actually posted about my snooping experience a couple of days ago. Hopefully my findings will prove it right in the next month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@gramgeek: haha I can't help snooping :) It won't make me any less excited!! We talked tonight about how I'll react. We joked and said that I"ll probably quote one of our favorite movies (Despicable Me) and instead of "it's so fluffy... It's so fluffy I could die!" say "It's so shiny... It's so shiny I could die!" lol I'm inserting the youtube video! Solar nails are great! It's like a powder type thing and in the french manicure... You get fake nails put on first, and they put the powder/gel on top of it and it's so shiny! The after your nails grow out, they just put the powder stuff on it! I'm sorry if I'm explaining it poorly!
I should really get my nails done for the party season, don't think I'll be getting my sparkly but always worth having them in tip top condition all prepared, just in case ;)
Yay! Good luck while you're waiting too. Hey, even if you don't get a proposal in the next couple of weeks at least your nails will look fabulous for the holidays!
I was seriously going to wait to get my nails done until AFTER he proposes! But all you ladies are making me jealous! I seriously want to do it now! But I don't want him to know, I know it's coming!
Well ladies... I have about a week left!!! I've been SO BUSY with work that I haven't even realized it. :O
IT'S SO FLUFFY!!!! lol I love that movie!(I secretly have a stuffed Minion in my room lol) My fingers are crossed for all the ladies expecting a Christmas proposal! (I'm one of you lol) I've already told SO that the order of operations is he proposes, I get my nails done, then we send pics to everyone, and then I get it appraised and insured lol. He is perfectly happy with this arrangement lol.
Nice spinoff! I am counting the days until I get my Gelish manicure on Wednesday. I'm keeping them nice and filed and in good shape until then!
Not waiting for the proposal, I was waiting on my ring to come back from being sized! It took over two weeks this time, boo. But I got my nails freshly done right before it got back! Woo hoo.

I wish I could get my nails done!!! I can't because of my job UGH! I guess I could trim them up nicely and make sure I keep lots of lotion on just in case too :)

I did my own nails in preparation for the holidays and a possible proposal in the next week or two. OPI "Crown Me Already" makes for some very sparkly, festive nails! :)
Even though I have my nails done in case, a Christmas or NYE proposal is looking unlikely. Upon deciding that he'd get my ring for Christmas (he's not dumb, he knows it's really the only thing I want), he said we would order it when he got paid, which is the 15th and 30th. After an unexpected bill has made its way to the forefront with the worst timing ever, I'm not quite sure we can order it now! :( I'm so upset, but I understand that these kinds of things happen, but still, I can't help how I feel. I wanted to talk to him about it tonight but I don't want to further stress him about it knowing I'm sure he already feels bad enough... And I know we could just wait til the 30th, and my birthday is the day before Valentine's Day, so there are plenty of opportunities on the horizon, but I was really looking forward to the wait finally being over by New Years... :/

Mister ordered my ring last week. It just had to be resized and it'll be shipped. I'm SO excited.
I need to do my nails. I never do them. But since I *know* on NYE I'll have a sparkly on my hand, I want nice nails. I think.... I need to go buy some new polish. Something.... not black LOL.

I am stalking "my" ring on gemvara.com that we picked out yesterday online. Squeal! I can't believe it. I don't know if it's the one he'll go with in the end but I'm really happy & excited (and calm) to be at this stage. The only thing about the ring that I don't understand is it seems like the price keeps changing, a lot.
@LucyLaLa: ahhh congrats!!!! I know the feeling!! I know Mr. LR will be making final decisions soon, so I am dying with anticipation :)

This is a spin off of Pinkmoon's post about nails, but I wanted to copy and paste and hopefully get some good vibes, wishes, prayers, etc.!!
I'm getting my nails redone this weekend, but I'm 99% sure it won't come until after Chrstimas. I did some snooping (judge me, if you will, but I am terrible with surprises) and Mr. LR is making final decisions on the diamond next Friday!!! It'll still take a couple weeks, I'm sure, but my nails will still look great through New Years (they are solar nails), so hopefully it will be before then!! :) Wish me luck!
