I admit it, I am succombing to peer pressure. I am seeing so many TALL centerpieces out there that my centerpieces now feel too short and boring. So, today I was looking for something to add height and i found these butterflies. Warning: Both the bouquet and the butterfly are pending improvements (I would add crystals to the butterfly and plan to add more flowers to the bouquet, etc)…. I like the look, I think its whimsical and Springy but I am also worried that it might be “too much” or otherwise not a good idea. So, bees…Would you add the butterfly???

I would say it depends on if you have butterflies in other parts of the wedding. If yes, then go for it, but if those are the only butterflies floating around I would skip them.

PS: Disregard the color of the butterfly, I’d be sure it matched….

I voted no. Mainly because that is the same kind of butterfly that I had decorating my room when I was a kid and the texture makes me cringe! But seriously, I love love love the arrangement W/O the butterfly because it is very elegant and simple. The butterfly adds a touch of Limited Too (or Justice, as it is now known) that I find clashes (regardless of color) and it really turns me off. Sorry darling!

I like it better without the butterfly 🙂

did you watch the latest My Fair Wedding with David Tutera? It was a “rainbows and butterfly” themed wedding. It would be good inspiration for you. Honestly, I am not loving it. The butterfly is larger than the bouquet. If there were small (1-3in.) natural colored butterflies casually placed in the bouquet I think that would look beautiful. Just as they would look in a garden.

Thanks. Butterflies really were’nt part of my theme, I just thought it was an easy “Springy” way to add the height I thought it needed… But, I think maybe they should make their way into the decor….
