I wouldn't say I find this helpful really, but I am really enjoying the healthy competition. My internet has just been down for awhile so I missed the last week.
Yay!!!! It's kind of nice going from #10 last week to #1 this week.
I do like weighing in here every week. The competition is just enough to keep me going. Last night all I wanted to do was eat junk but I knew the weigh in was in the morning so I refrained.
@jessjess: yes that must be nice, and you said it perfectly, i dont want to eat something bad when i know i have to weigh in
I LOVE this! It keeps me motivated knowing I have to 'report' in my weight! My progress hasn't been that great, but at least I'm still working out and TRYING to eat better. Please, please keep up the weekly updates/competition!

@mattsgirl813: You and I seem to be weight twins every week!!! As for this helping, yes it does help me!! I probably would have given in to so much more during the week, but I knew I would have to type out my weight and refrained (except for the thai food and wine yesterday).
I'm still the exact same since Friday. I am starting to go back to my personal trainer...well for the next month at least, then I am out of sessions. I went to work out with him last week on Tuesday after an 8 month break and he made me do 120 squats! Somehow, I did every single one of them. I had forgotten what I was capable of. Going back wasn't as hard as I expected it to be. But the rest of the week I could barely walk! I'm going twice a week for the next 3 weeks. Then if I can come up with some more money, I'm going to try to continue to go. Oh! The best thing was even after an 8 month break from the gym, I had lost 3 pounds from when I stopped.
Just back from a wedding this past weekend in Vermont. Weekend affairs are SO HARD, especially destination weddings. While I was on my best bride to be diet behavior, there were several moments of weakness, including: ice cream sundae on Friday night, wine at cocktail hour Friday and Saturday and late night flat bread pizza on Saturday night, and a couple of chocolate bites tonight. I was good in terms of hitting the gym twice, and avoiding starch most of the weekend (barely more than a few bites of pasta/bread each day) . . . so tomorrow its back to focusing on prize! Sometimes I feel like I have to spend the week undoing what I did during the weekend. Anyone else ever have the feeling?
I suck and never recorded my weight! I'm sorry :( I know I gained this last week so I'll make sure and weigh in next friday!!!
@Gia: I totally know what you mean. I made a concious effort the last two weekends to not gain and so far that has worked out. Normally I eat my way through the weekend then it takes me until Wednesday or so to get those extra pounds back off. I am hoping that by actually not gorging all weekend long I will be able to keep losing.
My goal this week is 3 pounds. I am freaking out because I am down to 10 weeks and my dress still doesn't zip all the way up. It is sooooo close. Close enough that I think it might actually zip if I had a helper to zip me up. I am living with my Grandmother right now who has pretty bad arthritis in her hands so getting her to try and squeeze me in my dress just isn't going to happen. Still with how tight it is, I have some serious back flab going on at the top of my dress. IF I keep this weight loss thing going though I should be fine. I just have moments of freakout then I am fine later.
@jessjess: Good for you! With two weekends in the bag, the next one will be easier, etc. No doubt you will fit into your dress and look great. Did you order a size down? I was thinking about doing that but the bust coverage was somewhat comprimised in the sample size (which would have been the size I would order down too), and I dont really lose too much weight there, so I ordered the lower of the two sizes I was in between. I share your concern on the back fat, and am planning on getting the back of my dress altered into a V verses straight across the back. I read in a couple of places that hides it a bit better.
This dieting thing is SO HARD. I feel like with the amount of excercise I am doing and generally good eating practice I should be losing more weight . . . but then I recount my lapses over the week and then I guess it is what it is. Yesterday I was good most of the day. No starches, no sweets, no alchohol, then a late dinner with a friend led me to eat eight fried calamari :( I think socializing is the hardest for me.
I did something even scarier than ordering a size down. I ordered a sample dress online without first trying it on. The dress shop was a local store so I was able to go in and pick it up but the eBay sale was over before I was able to go in to try it on so I just bought. Got a fantastic deal! I'm considering changing the back like you did but I was really hoping I would not have to get any alterations! We will see how the next few weeks go and then I can decide

Mittins 111211 has come to me asking if we could merge our teams. I thought that it was a great idea, because our group is slowly falling apart. We will be also allowing new people to join. The main reason for doing this is not so much the competition, but more the support of others. If you read through the BL threads (which im sure most of you have) they are a fun, loving group of ladies.
Im sorry if there are any of you that have an issue with this, i am just trying to make this the best experience possible.
i am assuming that there will be a new thread started soon so keep your eyes out for it. PM me with any questions or comments.
Okay, sounds good. What will the title of the merged group be so that we can watch for posts?
umm im not sure yet. Mittins is taking care of that. just keep an eye on the full figured board. When i know i will post it here
@mattsgirl813: I think it's a good idea to merge the boards, like you said more support.
I had to take a break from Weddingbee for a few days. If I get on Weddingbee when I go home I don't get things around the house done. It's so easy for 2 hours to breeze by on Weddingbee and yet there the dishes still sit.
I had a typical weekend, nothing too bad, but I had cake at a baby shower today.
Are we considered MIA when we only post on Fridays on our updateS?!
