Congrats!! I'm also a Lake Lure bride!! We're getting married April 25 2010 at Rumbling Bald Resort in lake lure WNC Weddings!!! Who's having one??? : wedding Icon Biggrin A friend of mine from highschool is a pastry chef at the Biltmore House and she's doing our cake for us, so we aren't going with a local baker. We were considering City Bakery in dwntwn Asheville ( before my friend stepped in) to do our cake- I've heard nothing but wonderful things about their wedding cakes and have ordered their cakes for other events my family has had and they taste fabulous! they are also reasonably priced- just a suggestion! Congrats again!! it's so nice to have another mountain bride!

Congrats WNC brides! I don't know any places in Asheville but grew up on Lake Lure and would have loved to have a wedding there!

Congrats!! I would have a list of any kind of questions you might have ready to go, there were so many things I wanted to know and still ended up forgetting to ask everything :) Just have fun with it! Hope you like what you see, I did!

I am really happy with my Baker so far, Tiffany's Baking Co. located in Candlier NC. I had a tasting and her cakes are delicious!!!! She has lots of flavors to choose from and will do any custom flavors that you would like. The cakes are also absolutely gorgeous. Have a look at her website. http://www.tiffanysbakingco.com/

She is also very nice, professional and accomidating. I will be sure to post a review and pictures of my cake after my Aug 1rst wedding.
