Our reception is in a heritage hall with wood floors. So, the entire space (5000 sq ft?) is all the same wood flooring. It’s a big rectangle with a stage at one end (not going to be used). We have a door on one side that guests will enter and then we can enter that door as well (10 foot entry way to the hall) or we can enter from the back doors which have an entry way as well and stairs leading up to it but it will be partially closed off for bar area (which we could move over after we get there).
So here are my issues:
1. Do we enter from the side or the back?
2.There is no aisle. A paper aisle marker will slip around…hmm…should we just have the spacing between tables?
3. How to designate the dance floor at the front of the room? We were going to put our head tables there…do we move them? We are doing an ipod reception thus no lighting equipment, etc to mark off a dance floor.
I am going to ask FI to put some photos back on my computer from our external harddrive-then I can share what the big empty space looks like. Perhaps someone can help.
Any tips or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!
