Okay, our venue is similar with the wood floor, and we also have 2 entrances to our room, so hopefully I can help you answer your questions.

1. I think it depends on how your tables are set up. It sounds like you might want to enter from the back rather than the side because it will give you more a “grand entrance”.

2. We won’t have an aisle, so we’re just making sure that there is adequate spacing between tables for us to walk through.

3. I think people will know where the dance floor is — I’m assuming it will be the one part of the room that is cleared out with no tables. Are you doing a first dance? If so, people will know where the dance floor is because you will be the first one dancing on it and thus showing them where it is!
