Ladies I am so proud of myself right now. Tonight I went out for a 4 mile run with a goal of 38 minutes. Well I accidentally ran further than I had planned (didn't realize I missed the street I was supposed to turn around on) and..

I ran 4.5 miles in 41.5 minutes! That means if I had only run 4 miles I would have finished in about 37 minutes or so :D

I have a 10K (6 miles) to run in 3 weeks and my goal is to finish in under an hour and tonight made me feel like my goal is attainable. I am so not a runner but decided to start C25K at the end of April and now I am running a consistent 9 minute mile.

Just wanted to share the good news!

thats really great!  I can only dream of doing 4.5 miles in one run! (as I sit here with a bowl of ice cream).  As soon as I sign off here, it's on to Jillian!

That's so great!  I wanted to run tonight but alas, we have had a tornado warning and some other bad things :(  Severe weather in the last week has been bad on my running.  Great job!

Thanks girls! I actually run for 9-10 minutes and then allow myself to walk for 1-1.5 minutes. I can run 3 miles without stopping but need to pace myself for the longer runs, so I schedule walking times.

@lattelove: I'm about to dig into a piece of red velvet cake ;)

@beekiss: that sucks about the tornado :( Hopefully tomorrow gives you better weather!
