Congratulations! Props to you for being so willing to water the plants despite exhaustion and disapointment over not being proposed to over vacation! LOVE the way he did it, also---too sweet. Have fun at your appointments!
*beam* Thankyou!!! :)
Must get offline for the evening and stop looking up wedding things! ;-)
Awesome story! Congrats! Looking forward to hearing more about the big day and enjoying the journey with you!
Congrats! That was a cute proposal story. I wonder why though some guys pick us at the not so great looking times to propose. It's probably because they love us just the way we are and trying to catch us off guard.
green bee, that's so cute!! I love your proposal story, congratulations!
What an adorable proposal! I love it when it happens at unexpected moments rather than what seems "perfect". Congratulations!

Yay! I thought I would pop back and let people know, even though I think since I signed up I've only been on twice - I couldn't keep coming on, I was going crazy with it as it is.
So yes! We went on holiday to the beach for my birthday and knowing he'd collected the ring (the day before) I must admit I did spend the Entire time desperately trying not to think about it (and not doing terribly well!). As the whole holiday was very much about large amounts of sea, sand and camping though, I had a suspicion it might not happen. We went to Chichester on the way home and I did briefly think it might happen as I was sure I could see a ring box in his shorts, and as we walked into the cathedral, we found the Russian Philarmonic Chamber Orchestra playing! :o
But no.
So we headed home and unpacked the car, me about to drop with tiredness. He said 'well we should water the garden' - good plan as very dry lately and our vegetables probably needed it. So went outside and started hosepiping the back garden down :) Got to the tubs where we are growing beans and tomatoes by the back door, watered happily away, and was slightly confused when I noticed a rose in the third tub, of beans. Kept watering. Noticed something bobbing around in the (large!) amount of water in the tub. Wondered what it was. Thought it looked slightly box like. Kept watering. Had a sudden flash of realisation that there was a box shaped thing AND a rose bobbing around in the bean pot, tried not to over-react just in case it was something else, and picked up the box and rose. Realised the box had the jewellers name on it. Thought 'Oh!'. Dropped hosepipe and turned around. Found lovely wonderful bf on his knees, asking me to marry him :)
So! I was proposed to whilst watering the vegetables, half covered in sand from the beach, wearing my grandad's wellies with a box now half covered in mud :) It was lovely :)
Am so happy and despite it only being 2 days ago, we have an appointment with the priest next week and several reception venue appointments too! Eeeeeee!! :)
(I would add a ring photo but my camera hates me - I will keep trying!)
