- Wedding: June 2011
I thought I wouldn’t have time for a recap before I leave for the honeymoon tonight but I do so I just wanted to inform my bee’s about the AMAZING big day!
after being at the church, we went to our hotel and the hotel’s restaurant for drinks and appetizers then DH and I parted ways and stayed in our awesome suites. DH went to a few bars with his groomsmen and my bridesmaids and I ordered some thai and watched the real housewives…with wine…but it was great, and relaxing. Pretty sure the hotel was haunted though
^^ cell phone in an inappropriate area…it wasn’t proposely blacked out lol
Wedding day: I didn’t get to sleep until 2am the night before, and I woke up at 5. Getting ready took forever…every ten minutes felt like an hour. It was hard too because our hair stylist got done at 10 and our photographer got to the hotel at 11 so I’m not sure if we got enough getting ready pictures :-/ my bridesmaids were so sweet and got me coffee and breakfast–they just pampered me. I must have had 5 mimosa’s also…whoops.
our first look was on the pent house roof top so we got the city skyline, then walking to the church, and from there getting married was a breeze. I was so ready and not nervous at all.
The reception was a blast, only a few people were super drunk but we had so much extra alcohol. The cake was awesome. Overall everything was fantastic–we danced, we had the most awesome dinner and we shared our love for each other with our good friends and family.
Oh and about 15 people who responded “yes” didn’t show up!…but we had about 6 extra guests so we only took home about 9 meals. Not that we paid $600 extra for them or anything.
Mishaps: my mom placed my garter box in an empty shoe boxes because she thought it was empty as well she forgot and we…couldn’t find the garter and it was really special to me. My mom also was suppose to bring my clutch and ring pillow and she left those in the car so I don’t think we got any photos of those. One of the bridesmaids boobs fell out of the dress on the way up to the altar. The wishing tree fell down outside of my reception venue and my very special vase broke 🙁 but it still looked good.
