That's right... I'M ENGAGED!!!

I know you all want pictures, but I don't have them yet. I only have one on my phone, but I promise later tonight, or tomorrow I will take "ring porn" pics and update them!

Yesterday me and the FI both had the day off.  We went downtown and went to the College Basketball Experience where they also have the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, then we went to a late lunch/early dinner.  We then went to the George Strait concert at 7:00pm.

I LOVE George Strait and FI knows this.  He had been acting kind of weird, he went on an errand earlier in the day but wouldn't tell me anything about it.  Then during the day his mom and sister both texted me asking the exact same question at the same time, regarding what song I was most wanting to hear.  Then when we were eating he suddently had to go outside the restaurant to make a phone call.

Apparently, he had been wanting to propose at this concert but didn't think he could get the diamond in time (the setting was paid for).  Well he went to look at diamonds and he did get it in the morning.  He then had to try and get ahold of my parents because I had always told him I wanted him to takl to them.  He went to my moms office but she was in a different building, but he got the number.  He talked to her at work and she said she gave her blessing, but he had to ask again in person. 

I guess he called my dad, but my dad didn't answer.  (My parents are divorced).  My dad had called back when we were at lunch/dinner.  My Dad cried, but said he was happy. 

We listed to the entire concert, and apparently George didn't play the song he was waiting for.  FI was waiting for him to play "I Cross my Heart"  from Pure Country- My all time FAVORITE movie).So after the concert, everyone was leaving and I had to go to the bathroom soooo bad!  He kept telling me to wait.  EVERYONE was out of the arena, I mean I swear there were only workers in there still.  He got down on one knee, told me he couldn't live without me, and wanted to marry me.  Then he stopped. I said "well you have to ask me!"  So then he asked if I'd marry him and gave me the ring!!  It's the ring I picked out, with a perfect diamond that he picked out.

It has been a whirlwind all day!  My phones blowing up, as I'm sure you can all understand. My mom is SUPER excited and my dad bawled this morning when I called him.

We are currently on the phone with FI's parents since they don't live here. I promise to add pictures soon!!!

What a great story! Public yet private.  Super sweet of him to ask your parents too.  Congrats! Can't wait to see the ring porn! =)

@spaganya-  It was AMAZING!!! If I hadn't been there I'd a been jealous too. This was my fourth time to see George.  Last time I saw him, Miranda Lambert, and Tracy Lawrence, which was also incredible.  It helped that last time I was 10th row back on the floor.  

@tea-  Thanks!!  Weare HUGE KU fans and so the basketball potato head just had to make it in the ring shot. I was inspired by a Bee who had pictures of her ring on a mickey and minnie statue (sorry whoever you are, I can't remmeber).  We wanna get the football one, but I haven't found it yet.

Thanks ladies. I think I'm still in shock. (which is odd considering I practically knew about it)  I really just can't believe in the next year and a half I'LL BE MARRIED!!!
