Hey everyone I need your help! I’m usually pretty good with coming up with things but my mind is just drawing a blank on this!
My grandfather recently passed away and left me and my 3 cousins some money. My dad was talking to me yesterday about maybe giving some to my great aunt and her husband who took care of both of my grandparents when they were starting to get sick, driving them around to appointments, helped my grandpa move into a condo after my grandma passed and empty out their home, and also helped my dad to clear out the remaining assets after my grandpa passed. I thought about it and I do want to give them some money. They are on a fixed income and I’m sure they spent a lot taking care of them.
I am trying to write them a note explaining why I am sending them money but it just sounds lame. Help please!
I hope that you are both doing well. (Need something else here.)
I wanted to send you this letter to thank you for all that you did for my grandparents over the last few years. You took care of them, helped them go to their appointments, and helped my dad to move everything out of their home into the nursing home and to go through all of their things after they both passed away.
I feel bad that you spent all this time and money taking care of them and that you didn’t receive anything in their will. Please accept this money as thanks for taking care of them for us. It really means so much to me.
