We are having our ceremony in one place and our reception in a nearby town 30 mins drive. I know...baaaaddd etiquette but we love both places so much.  So, I am trying to figure out some sort of wording for it but there is so much info needed (and looks too much). What to do?

    Any suggestions?

The ceremony place will be kinda long on the invite unfortunately ..

Ceremony at 2pm Pretty Place Amphitheatre, Biggertown  BC.

Reception at 5pm Pretty Hall, Smalltown BC

i would just include a reception card instead of cramming both onto the invite

Yep, reception card.  Thats what we did, and we put rsvp info (website and phone) on that card too.

It's usually a little larger than the rsvp card, but just is like a second small little card for the reception. I had a second card that was for the directions stuffed in the invitation. You would want something like that

Hi.  Whomever you are getting the invitations from can help you.  However, what about this:

You are cordially invited to attend the wedding of

    Jill lastname

    and

    Jack Lastname

    on date

    at time

    Place

    address

    town

and at the reception immediately following

    palce

    address

    town

The RSVP card should NOT have the reception information becasue they will return it to you with their response.  If you check out www.sandstone.cceasy.com you can work w/several different styles and sizes of invitations to fit what you need to say; and you can select the custom wording.  You can even print out a smaple of what the invitation will look like so you can think on it.  The sample you create is good for 30 days and you can forward copies electronically so you can ask several people what they think and if it is clear....

Let us know how it works out!
