I need some help. I am making our own invites and all the lovely stuff that goes into it 🙂 I’m very excited but at this point stuck in a rut…. What exactly do you include in with the invitations? I was going to do invitation, RSVP card, and a where we are registered card. I was considering a map and then thought “everyone has a computer to find directions so do I really need that’? Should I still include it? Am I leaving anything out?
Also, we have decided to have no children under 18 at our wedding… For various reasons but one main one being that it would be in extra 100-150 people (we both come from LARGE mexican families and it’s big enough as it is) and it’s just not what we want. How would I write that on the invitation? And should I write it on the RSVP card too?
THank you so much. And happy wedding planning to all

If you google wedding invitations, you can zoom in on pictures to get some idea of how to word the actual invitation part.
If you don’t want to include an actual map and directions, a good idea would be to have a wedding website made. You can include any information you want on there (map, where registered, etc.). It also cuts down on paper to have a wedding website. You can include the URL in a save the date or on teh RSVP card.
As for wording about the no children. Some people understand no children if you only address the invitation to the adults by not including the children’s names. If you do not think they will get that you don’t want children, then in the RSVP card make sure you right down a number for how many people in the household are actually invited. It is considered improper ettiquette to write no children on invites, but if you are not worried by that, keep it simple. “Adults only, please” at the bottom of the invite.
