I saw this on The Knot for when 'everyone is hosting':

How do I add my father in that mix of shenanigans?

Mr and mrs B, Mr N, and Mr and Mrs N's mom/stepdad

request the honor of your presence at wedding blah blah blah????

together w their parents Mr N, Mr and Mrs B, and Mr and Mrs Stepfthrs last name?

That so much stuff! Can I just put "together w/ their parents" and leave the names out of it? Obviously, my mom has a different last name than me and my father. ARG.

This is quite rediccculous.
