I worked up until Wednesday, so I only took Thurs/Fri off. Nobody really expected me to be productive all day long and I used my weekends to do all my appointments. Meanwhile, my friend took the full week off before her wedding b/c she had so much to do that she couldn't fit in on the weekends and she didn't have downtime at her company like I did.
Hahahaha. I have wondered the same thing. My boss even told me that while I'll be here until the Tuesday before, I "won't ACTUALLY be useful for THOSE two days." It was somewhat offensive because he is slightly a jerk but still funny. Concentration is not my strong point lately, and I have 7 1/2 weeks to go.
I feel the same, so much to do and think about, at work i'm not super busy either so I just sit and think wow I could be doing so much if I was home.
Oh man....if work isn't REALLY busy then I get totally distracted. I have pleanty of work to do but if it isn't pressing I get distracted....oh geez and my boss (of 3.5 years since I've worked here) quit last week...so things are somewhat disorganized
The more meetings to fill up my time the better...
I was in charge of a major festival at work that was two weeks before my wedding. I came back and spent about a day really truly paying attention and wrapping up everything from the festival. I then spent four days in the office not really doing anything, and took the last week off. I think I would have checked out sooner if I hadn't been trying desperately to get the festival running.
I was totally and utterly useless at work the last few weeks before the wedding! you are not alone! :)
My wedding is in less than 2 weeks- October 10, and I have found there is an inverse relationship between the approach of the wedding and the decline of my non-wedding IQ. It is the busy season at work, but here I am typing away on Weddingbee! I find myself actually resenting my job for "forcing me" to be here everyday. The nerve! Don't these people realize how much I still have to do?
@teamzeewagen - I am the same way. as you. We have a conference for our clients next week and there is a dinner I am supposed to attend if there is room for me, like I am supposed to put everything on hold incase they need me to be a space filler. I am like "I have such more important things to do than this silly conference"
I am glad there are other people who are feeling like slackers at work.

How productive were you at work the last few weeks before the wedding? My wedding is in 3 1/2 weeks and I feel like I can't concentrate fully. I don't want to use the wedding stress as an excuse especially cuz my managers expect alot from me.
ugh, i feel like a mess.
