This is such a silly thing, but I just found out that my coworker submitted the latest round of quarterly news for our branch to the company’s head office, for inclusion in the next newsletter. It’s actually a pretty big publication that gets sent to all our branches, suppliers, customers, etc. She wrote a brief blurb about me and my fiancé’s engagement, and I got such a little jolt of excitment from it! It probably won’t come out for another month but it’ll be cool to see it printed in something official, even if it is a newsletter for a dairy. Ha!
Did you bees guys get your engagements announced anywhere, like the local paper? I’m going to make a point to get a copy of the publication and save it. Cause I’m dorky like that!

We didn’t submit an announcement to any publication…I can imagine my mother doing it back at home, though.

It’s funny because I think it used to be such a common thing, to accounce via the local newspaper or something. Nowadays it’s so unnecessary that I guess no one does it anymore!

My boss said something about it at one of my department’s quarterly meetings. These meetings are always for updating everyone on work-related projects, but the managers like to include personal info as well.

We had an announcement in our city newspaper.
