I suffer from horrible year round allergies and the “pregnancy allergies” aren’t making things any easier. I have the nasal congestion that can come with pregnancy for sure, I’ve been whistling/wheezing throgh my nose for a solid month and I have mild nose bleeds. I get winded so easily now because I can’t breathe as it is. I want to work out some while I’m pregnant but I don’t really know what I can do that won’t leave me winded. I’m going to try prenatal yoga but I was hoping to do some sort or cardio. Any ideas?

im in the same exact boat as you! horrible allergies, made worse by pregnancy congestion. i’m now 24weeks and am starting to have trouble breathing 🙁 try light running or walking uphill on a treadmill. you’re still going to get winded, but you should be able to step off the treadmill easily enough to take a breath when needed. Also – try saline gel (find it on amazon) for the nose bleeds – helps lubricate!

I don’t live near an indoor pool anymore, but I used to live right by one and found that swimming tremendously helped my allergies. Don’t know if it was the chlorine or humid air or what, but it helped!

I ran a hot shower and rested a lot and use a netti pot pretty much every day. Lifesaver!

I’ve had those same issues (and an additional horrible cough) for almost two months now. I consider my workout going up and down my stairs each day. It certainly gets my heartrate up :-/
