Wow, I can't imagine how crazy that must be working right up until the wedding!
I am relocating after the wedding, thus leaving my job. So it was easy enough to take off a week before the wedding and just get my vacation time paid out. It's nice to have unlimited time off, but not nice to have my salary stopped for about a month between the wedding, honeymoon, and moving from Chicago to CA! (and then I don't even know if I'll find a job!)
Wow! That's crazy! I bet you are getting a LOT done at work : )
I'm taking the week before (though Monday of that week is a holiday, so technically only 4 days...) and the week after off (with an extra Monday off) to make it a full two weeks. I get 4 weeks pd vacation so had to take advantage. If I had less time off, I probably would only take a few days before the wedding.
Have an amazing time on Sunday!!
First off.. congrats on the upcoming wedding!!!! You made it LOL ![]()
Our wedding is May 30, which is a Saturday.. so me and my bridesmaids & mom are all off from that Thursday through the weekend.... so 2 days before for me. I hope thats enough!!
Good luck on the move and have a wonderful wedding!!!
I am taking off one day before the wedding. I am a teacher, so I can't take much time off during the school year. I know it will be stressful, but the week before my wedding is CST testing, so I will have a lot of time to fold programs and create seating charts while my kids are testing!
I'd like to take a few days off before the wedding, but I think I'll be saving my vacay for the honeymoon. :)
I'm taking the Thursday and Friday off before the wedding so I can ferry out-of-town guests back from the airport.
Good luck this weekend and congratulations!
i hope to take a week off before.. fingers crossed! Oh my goodness! HAVE A WONDERFUL WEDDING!
Thanks ladies, I'm so excited!!!
I'm taking a three week honeymoon, so extra time off before the wedding is impossible. They almost didn't give me the 3 weeks off for the honeymoon!!
Work isn't impossible, luckily my job is flexible enough that if i need to take or make a personal phonecall it isnt too bad. I will say though that it's been hectic and lucky for me my fiance has reallyi stepped up and picked up the slack.
Have a great time at your wedding! Remember to take it all in, and we better hear/see some recaps :)
I only get 10 days vacation time per year & no sick/personal time (crappy!!) so I will be working up until 3 days before my wedding. We also wont be having much of a honeymoon because of that too. I will then be driving 6 hours to my wedding location and spending the few days leading up to my wedding setting everything up! It's going to be a whirlwind I know it!
I am taking one day off before the wedding, and the week after the wedding off for the honeymoon. I am going to just be a warm body the whole week leading up to the wedding, though, which I feel guilty about but am accepting!
ES123, you'd be suprised! I'm getting work done and I thought nothing would be getting done.
I am working until the Tuesday or so before the wedding. My mom and MOH are coming in Monday. My fiance is working up until the Wednesday before the wedding and his mom is taking off the Thursday afternoon and all day Friday. We've fortunate about being able to get time off. I will actually have a few weeks off afterwards as I work with schools and am getting married right around the start of winter break!
I'm moving four hours away, so I'm just putting in for my last day to be a week before the wedding, and I'll start my new job right after the new year if all goes to plan.
I only took Friday off of work before the wedding on Sunday. I'm glad I did it because we had to go to the courthouse to get our wedding certificates done before the day of the wedding. Talk about a lot to do at the last minute!

I'm getting married in two days, and I'm still working. We have limited vacation time so I decided to work at my job straight through till the wedding, in order to have more time for the honeymoon.
How much time if any, are you planning on taking off before the wedding?
