Good Morning! Hope you all had a great weekend and are happy with your results today. I'm not HAPPY, but I'm not completely pissed!

    Start: 136

    Last week: 138

    Today: 137.1

    Gain/loss: -.9 Almost a pound! BUT I'm still up from start :(

I'm finding it hard to be motivated to do my workout videos. Are you working out at a gym or at home? What are you doing at the gym or home?

good morning!  I had a rough weekend - have to get back into it.  I've been going to the gym a couple days a week.  Sometimes it helps to have a few workouts that I can do at home while watching a show that I like (i.e. a weight routine and then jumprope/jumping jacks in place) so that at least i'm enjoying myself!  also, i've been trying to find more active activities - laser tag this weekend was really fun and we're in ice skating season, so that's helpful!  You can do it!  Slow and steady.  I'm getting back on the horse after my eating fest weekend, so I'm with you!

Good morning! I've lost this week, but I'm still not to my losest on the thread. Frustrating, but I'm keeping with it!

I've found that if I actually write everything down in my food journal, I lose weight. Period.

I'm hoping I can workout tonight. I had some serious back pain issues last night so I might just need to go for a walk or something low-key tonight.

    Morning ladies!

    Start: 156.6

    Last week: 156.6

    This week: 153.4!!!!

Loss of 3.2 pounds! FINALLY! After whining to my doctor last week about how I've been trying to lose 10 pounds forever, he told me what I already know. "If you want to lose weight, you have to eat less. I don't care how healthy you eat, eating pounds of flax seed is going to make you fat." Not overly delicate, but what I obviously needed to hear!

@Rosie - My FI is a great motivator to do my videos. He started his own little fitness routine, so now I want to keep up with him!

    Morning ladies,

I am working out at home too....and sometimes it is hard to get motivated!

    Anyways, here are my stats

Start 162 - but I bought a new digital scale that weighs me at 3lbs heavier than the old one, so I'm going to adjust things...

    So real start 165

    Weight last week: 156.8

    Today: 155.9

    so -.9 ha ha ha.

I am definitely at the plateau point after a 10lb weight loss - which is awesome in one respect, it's nice to get that initial weight off, but it's also kind of frustrating, b/c obviously I had it to lose and just adjusting diet made a difference, but now I'm clearly at the point where the progress has definitely slowed and I need to get my bum in gear and exercise, LOL. Playing soccer with the youth group at my church last night helped....until I took shot directly in the uterus, ha ha. Ok that's my ramble.  Keep up the good work everyone!

I find it way easier to "workout" by doing other active things, like soccer, hiking, etc. Its just so hard for me to put a video in and do a routine!

    Good morning!

Well I am proud of myself for actually getting up on Saturday and running 2 miles and lifting some weights. I'm not always good about working out on the weekends.

Tonight I am planning on doing the 30-day shred, tomorrow is more running at the gym. Since the scale I use is at the gym I will have to post my weight tomorrow. Hoping for a loss!

Tried my dress on again as I was home at my parents, and it does fit, just the tiniest bit snug so I really only need to lose a few. I hope I can do it!

Workout schedule this week (hold me to this!!):
    Mon - 30-day shred, weights
    Tues - run 2.5 miles
    Wed - lift weights
    Thurs - run 2.5 miles
    Fri - rest day
Sat - 1 hour kickboxing class
    Sun - run 3 miles

Good Morn...er...AFTERNOON! Wow, lots of west coasters haha.

I weighed myself just now and I am 125.2 lbs. Ugh. I ate really badly this weekend, so I'm sure that's why I seemed to have gained 5 lbs these past two weeks. I did start my workout regime on Friday, though, so today I'm going to eat well and do a workout and just keep trucking. I'm hoping to get down to 122 this Friday (I think I'm holding water weight, so that's why I think its feasible). Hope everyone is doing fantastic!

Whee! I am currently starting week 8 of P90X, which is the second Recovery Week. Don't be fooled though - you still workout, but you don't lift weights. Tonight is Yoga X, which is actually killer. I fear this more than doing pull-ups - it requires much more strength then I ever could have imagined.

Yoga is really hard!!!! I can't do it for a couple reasons:

    1. I laugh! Some of the positions and how serious people are makes me crack up!

    2. It ummm... really... makes me "want" FI! I think its all the stretching and gettin blood to flow to different areas!!!! FI really doesn't mind when I do it!

    3. I don't know how to use some of those muscles!!! I couldn't believe how hard it really is!

Hey ladies!!! I am feeling really good about my progress.... I "officially" started my diet/work-out routine on Friday and today I was down 4.6 lbs YAY! I'm not sure my inital weigh-in was all that accurate because it was after a big fast food meal, in the middle of the day, and I was on my period; however, I was REALLY glad to see the number on the scale this morning!

    Start: 124.6

    Today: 120.0

    Goal: 110.0

I've also been doing the QuickTrim cleanse which is AMAZING and really hard to stick to the workout/diet that they recommend, but I really feel that it is helping!

I'm glad I didn't do badly this week even though I was a schlub!  I work out at the gym (elliptical 3x a week and trying to do pilates 2x a week).  Sorry for posting so late, I had my doctor appointment in Birmingham today and just got home so I'm just resting.

    Thanks Ottawa!

Good job everyone! I hope you feel better this week MissAsB.

I just got back from the gym, I took it pretty easy because I'm feeling pretty cruddy. I did a 10 minute warm up run on the treadmill then did weights for about 25-30 minutes.

My beef for the day: There were these two guys in the weights areas who fancied themselves to be weightlifters. They would get on a machine, do like 5 reps, get off the machine then pace around it for about 3 minutes. They totally blocked a machine I wanted to use because they were parading around it like peacocks in heat.

Weight loss achievement of the day: I benchpressed 140lbs! It's 40lbs more than I usually do... hello legs of steel!

Emshaw - great job with the lifting girl!!! I also CANNOT stand the guys who parade around like they own the gym or the ones who stare at girls as they are lifting weights....very annoying. Glad that you had a good workout!

I'm also feeling really yucky today (cold/flu) and I'm trying to decide whether I feel up to working out or not. I want to keep my positive momentum going from my 4.6lb loss this week but don't want to over do it either....

    Hi Ladies!

I was busy at work today and then just as I was about to post my power went out...

    Starting weight:  137

    Last week:  131.4

    Today:  131.0

    Lost: -.4

Not too bad but I know I could have done better.  I managed to get down to 129 toward the end of last week but I completely blew it this weekend.  I guess its better than gaining though.  Earlier tonight I did 30 Day Shred level 3, a 10 min cardio blast workout, and a 1 mile walk.  For some reason I find that level 3 is easier for me than level 2.  I hope to keep up with my workouts this week because I really slacked off last week.

    last week:  192 lbs

    this week: 191 lbs

    loss of 1 lbs woohoo!!

    goal:  150lbs

I had a great workout week last week and met one of my month goals of being able to run for 20 mins (2 miles) without walking interval!!  I was excited because before that the best I was able to do was 15 mins....my aim for next month is 5k without intervals.

Also, I am pretty excited about getting under 190 by the end of the month and am pretty sure I can get there!! I prob would have gotten there this week, but had a bad food weekend :(.

I also missed the gym yesterday cuz I was sick....looking forward to getting back in there today though!  PS. I also started a new weekend fitness class called bodycombat and holy crap!! it kicked my butt..My muscles are still sore from Sun.

@emshaw  way too go with the lifting, but I am confused you benched 140, but your legs are tough...I thought bench press was your arms/shoulders....or did you do a legpress?  Cuz if you are benching 140 that's crazy!! you are a tough cookie! :)

Hey ladies! Lookin' fiiiiiiiine, baby. Hahaha, ok, I weighed myself and I am 123.6 lbs. I KNEW that 125.2lbs yesterday must have been water weight. Maybe my scale is unreliable...? I think I'll just start going by how my middle looks (the EASIEST indication as to whether I've gained or lost weight).

@galacticpony - I weight myself everymorning but I also go by how "skinny" my tummy looks in the morning :)

We are dog watching my fiance's parents' dog for a month and since I work from home I have been able to take him on long walks during lunch (depending on the weather).  So I'm hoping this extra exercise plus my daily workout routine and eating will push me along further in my weightloss goals.

    Today: 119.2

    Goal: 110

Weight Loss: -5.4 lbs (since last Friday!!) YAY!

Hi Ladies! Is it too late join your workout buddy group?

    Start weight: 142 (early December)

    Last Week: 139

This Week: not sure - have training session this afternoon

    Goal weight: 125 by June

I've made it a goal to get to the gym/workout 4-5 times a week &, by the end of week 3, I've been 13 times!  Yay for short term goals!  Went yesterday & have plans to go 4 more times this week...I LOVE my gym!  Any other Equinox ladies out there?

@Rosie Girl: I'm definitely a gym person...I desperately crave external motivation & group fitness.  I have a perfectly good/serviceable gym in my apartment complex, but just could NOT get motivated to go!  So, at the beginning of the year, I joined the gym of a good friend & am SOO in love with it.  The classes REALLY make a difference - there is one practically every hour at my new gym & they're of all varieties: Vinyasa Yoga, kickboxing, conditioning, spin, BootCamps, Pilates, Plyometrics, Shreadmill...you name it, they've got it. Plus, meeting up with my friend at least twice a week keeps me accountable.

@galaticpony: I also like to supplement my weight measurements with inch measurements...I tend to carry a lot of weight as I am a medium build person (with a petite height of 5'2") so my healthy weight is well over 100 pounds according to my doctor.  But measuring my bicep, bust (at the largest circumference), waist (smallest circumference - since other parts are bones), hips (largest circumference), & thigh (just below the inner leg "bulge") help keep me motivated.

@futuredrbraun: what a super weekend you've had! Loss of over 5 pounds...celebrate, sister!  How'd you do it?

@blue butterfly: don't you just love it when a workout kicks your butt! I love feeling my body working like that - new mantra: "you get what you give!"  It will make us keeping giving our all...

Okay finally weighed myself last night at the gym:

    Starting: 156

    Last week: 154

    This week: 153.6

So...only down about 1/2 lb. I was hoping for better but really 2.5 lbs over 2 weeks is not bad! And my goal is just to lose a few lbs and get more toned. Last night I ran 2.7 miles, and tonight I am doing the buff brides workout book, I am on week 9!

I just wanted to update on my workout last night because it was pretty much awesome!! I was able to run 25 min (2.5miles) without having to do any walking intervals...i walked 1/4 mile and then sprinted the last 1/4 of the 5k and followed it up with a 6 mile ride on the bike....I am feeling pretty darn good about doing that 5 k in 2 weeks!!!

@bluebutterfly - Great job, thats awesome!  I'm sure thats a great confidence boost with your 5k coming up :)

Yesterday I walked the dog for 2 miles (gmap pedometer is great!) and I did 30 Day Shred level 3.  Today I ordered Julianne Hough's Cardio ballroom and Jillian's No More Trouble Zones on Amazon.  I'm thinking a little variation in my workouts will be nice.

I didn't work out yesterday as I was deathly ill (mild exaggeration) but I'm headed back to the gym in about an hour. Here's to hoping the peacocks don't block me from the weight machines again...

it's so true about them peacocks too!! it's so funny cuz when I do go lifting and my FI is around and he thinks one is going to push me off the machine he comes over to "check" on me to make sure I am  not being pushed around.

@bluebutterfly: That's super cute! I wish my FI could come work out with me! PS. How long have you been preparing for the 5k? You sound totally ready!

Well ladies I just got back from the gym. Had a super awesome workout. I did week 4, workout 1 of the c25k then about 25 minutes of weights.

The usual suspects were meandering around the weight machines. There was one guy who decided he wanted to use the same machine the entire time I was there (which happens to be one of the machines I use...). But other than that machine I got all my reps in.

In a surprise turn of events the biggest meathead of all came up to me and told me that I've 'lost weight' and 'whatever I'm doing is working'... so that was nice, allbeit a little awkward from someone I've never talked to before.

I'm feeling good today, so far eaten well (a little carb heavy though). I'm definitely going to be below my caloric limit for the day.
