Good afternoon everyone!  I haven't worked out this week because of the cold but I think I will be up for something maybe tomorrow or Wednesday.

How are you doing with your workouts and diets?

Yay perfect post for me! I just started the couch-to-5K program yesterday and it was and epic fail for me... Today I finished it and fell super amazing! Good luck to everyone... P.S. How much do you all want to lose? At 5'7 and 177 I am aiming for 140is...

@Miss Mitzie: Welcome!  I saw your other post about the C25k.  There are a few girls on here that are doing it.  I'm not looking to lose a lot of weight (maybe 5 or 10 lbs), just get back into the shape I was before the wedding.

Hello ladies!  I am feeling better today...not 100% but not like my head is going to explode from my sinus headache haha.  I am going to try to get to the gym today and just do some cardio and light weights.  Or if that doesn't happen, I will do the shred instead.  I just have to do SOMETHING today - I've felt so lazy lately!

@Miss Mitzie:  I am trying to tone up more than losing weight per se, but I think to do so I will need to lose about 10 lbs or so. It's mostly around my stomach (which for me, is the HARDEST area on my body to lose weight), so I know I have to do much more cardio in addition some weights to make that happen.  Plus, step up the healthy food!  I don't eat awful, but there are a few areas that could use improvement.

@dance: Glad you are feeling better!  I should do something today but I feel so blah I doubt I can get myself moving.

Hi Strangers! It's been awhile. I can't say I have done much good in the world of working out and eating right. I've been a slacker. I did workout on Sunday and Monday. I need to do something tonight.

I have 52 pounds to lose (after losing 50 already). If I could get my act in gear to lose an average of one pound a week (more some weeks and less others), I could reach my goal by next year.

I just wish people didn't have those stupid treats at work. When I'm stressed, I eat. I would prefer the "when I'm stressed, I workout," but I can't just get up from my desk and run a mile. Thoughts?

@completelyrandomsally: Hey stranger!  I don't know how to help you ward off the treat fix.  I think I'm going to go back to drinking water and checking gum to keep myself from eating the candy and junk that people bring into the office!

So I did the 30 Day Shred for the first time today and OMG I think I'm going to be dead tomorrow.  I feel so sore already and I couldn't make it through the cardio circuits which is so depressing.  I'm not even 25, I need to be in better shape!

@ MissAsB - 30 Day Shred is killer. I've only gone to Level 2 once.  I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes on the treadmill. I love having those machines in my basement. Thank you Craigslist.

Has anyone tried Jillian's Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism? I love it, but it kills me every time.

I am new to the workout buddies.  I did Day 1 of the shred Sunday, was super sore yesterday, and did it again tonight.  I am going to try to mix things up a bit- I think 10 days of doing the same thing over and over isn't as helpful, and can be boring.  I was thinking of trying Banish Fat, boost metabolism tomorrow.  I have uverse, and they have several of Jillian's workouts free on demand.

@ guitargirl  - The Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism on my "on demand" section is only 24 minutes. The actual dvd is 48ish. Basically on the dvd you repeat every circuit (including the warm-up) twice. My version of on demand does each section only once (which would probably be just fine at first - I did that for several weeks before buying the dvd).

@completelyrandomsally: Great job with the elliptical and treadmill!  I have Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones in my Netflix queue (yes I'm the bad person who is keeping my copy of 30 Day Shred as long as I want)!

@guitargirl: Welcome!  Good job with working out twice in a row with the 30 Day Shred!

I was too tired to work out today (lazy I know)!

MissAsB - No More Trouble Zones is even harder...at least to me. I will be doing either that or Banish Fat tonight.

I'm still sore from Tuesday, I can't sit without being in pain!  I might try the video again tomorrow night.

I took a break last night. Work has been super stressful this week. I haven't been this glad to see Friday in a long time.

Ok guys, so I am just a terrible workout buddy!  I have been a major slacker lately :(

In fact, right now, I am going to load the new Katy Perry CD onto my iPod shuffle so I can listen to it while at the gym.  I will work out today - and if I come back and have not done it - you have permission to yell at me!  Haha...talk to you soon!

I did it - I went to the gym today! (So you can't yell at me - today anyways!) I did 45 minutes of cardio and about 30 minutes of weights and core! And I made plans to meet my sister there tomorrow morning, so I have to go!  Whew...feels good.  I just need to remember how good I feel when I am working out and that will help motivate me to get off my butt!

@dance: Yay for going to the gym!  It's good to make plans with someone, having my trainer there always forced me to go but now I'm like meh don't wanna do that tape.

Hopefully, I can do the 30 Day Shred again tomorrow, we figured out the AC so it isn't 90 degrees in here anymore.

I did my second day of the 30 Day Shred.  I'm not doing it every day because I don't have time or the energy!  I feel less tired than I did the first time but still couldn't make it through all the cardio without a break because of my asthma.

And as for motivation to get through the cardio, I've started punching Jillian in the head during the boxing portion!

@MissAsB:  I agree - everyday is a lot!  I figure if I can get to the gym or do the Shred even 4 times a week, I will be doing better than I am now!  I am going to try to shred tonight because I won't have time to make it to the gym.  (And I am still a bit sore from this weekend!).

I just added the Lose It! app to my new iPhone to keep track of my food intake and exercise - I will let you ladies know how it goes!  As of right now (mid-afternoon), I only have 200 or so calories left for dinner.  Hahaha...brutal.  That is with a weight loss goal of 1lb per week.  So here I go trying to eat better!  And with something to tell me how much I am eating, I think it will be better.
