I'm just starting too. I think many brides will be more than happy to help out :)
It does depend what type of diet and training you're going to follow
I'm pretty bad a dieting. I'm good throughout the day, but my FI and I like to go out and mostly my diet is ruined on the weekends. I don't really want to diet too much or I will hate my life if I cut out drinking, carbs, going out with friends, etc. But I am going to start working out a lot more. I am about the same weight as you with the same weightloss goals.
Here's my workout plan:
Three days a week I am going to run a 5k (hopefully run it all, sometimes I can, but sometimes I hit a wall at 2 or 2.5 miles). pushups and crunches. when i get stronger I may add more to these days. I'm going to start writing down my times and number of pushups I can do.
Two days a week I'm going to do a workout video: Women's Health Total Body Workout in 10 (the whole thing is actually 40 mintues long). I've done it before and I would defintiely recommend it. The workouts are tough, but the instructor and the other ladies in the video are very encouraging. Walk 2 miles.
One day a week I will either do my Jillian 30 Day Shred workout, walk, or do some sort of cross training.
I will take one day a week off.
Yay!! I love having workout/diet buddies!!! Sunnygal started a great thread in the wellness section and we all check-in with eachother almost everyday to talk about what we ate and did for our workout. I'm totally here to help ya...my wedding is in 6.5 months and I would like to lose about 10 lbs!
I agree with futuredrbraun check out sunnygal's thread it has been a great source of motivation to see other bees going through the motions!

I am about to start my Pre-wedding work out and diet...I weight about 150 and want to loose about 15-20 pounds before the wedding (10 months away) but I am terrible about working out and being healthy. I need someone to help motivate me...some one who will start working out with me and someone who will motivate me to eat right...and I them! We can email eachother what we eat or set up a plan. Anyone want to do this with me? It will be a slow process but worth it!
