I have the Windsor Pilates - they are ok. But honestly, if you want an a** kicking work out that you really only need to have basic weights for - Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. The first time I did this on basic I thought I was either going to vomit or die. Seriously - it's BRUTAL - but after you do it a few times you just feel really really good! Give it a try! It's not that expensive and I think it's totally worth it.
I second Jillian Michaels! The weights totally make a difference! Even if they're only 1 or 2 kg - you WILL feel it!! good luck! :)
Jillian Michaels!!!! Definitly! I've only done it about 4 times, and i'm still not able to finish the whole first workout, maybe it's because i'm beat red in the face, sweating everywhere, and i'm out of breath, but i feel great after i've done it, I can tell in only 4 workouts that there's a difference in my strength and my mom even says that i'm looking great, and she saw me last weekend.lol.
definily jillian michaels, and check out leslie sanson's walk and jog dvd's.. I like those too.
I'm dying to try the Turbo Jam DVD's. They promise that you'll lose 10 pounds and 10 inches in 10 days. I've looked up reviews and they seem to work pretty well. I don't know how fast you want to lose the weight, but I went to a doctor that had a weight control program. He prescribed me phentermine and told me to start walking for at least 20 minutes a day. So, I started walking 2 miles which took about 35 minutes and the pounds literally fell off! The pill suppresses your appetite and gives you loads of energy. I lost 9 pounds in the first 2 weeks. So far I've lost 25 pounds. I haven't taken the pills lately and haven't really walked much but I've managed to keep the weight off and have even dropped a few more pounds. I'm going to start taking them again and working out again so I can drop about 10 or 15 more pounds before summer so I'll be bathing suit ready!
Oh gosh...I just bought a Jillian Michaels DVD today!! Now I'm nervous after hearing all of this! It's the "Shape-Up Backside" DVD. I don't really need to lose anything, just tone up. I'll report back if I survive!
I like Yoga Booty Ballet (the yoga to calm me, and the Booty to dance around and have some fun while getting a great cardio workout) and Slim In 6 for strength training and cardio. I have a Tenitian Cardio workout too that's a lot of fun - it's all Hawaiian hula moves and your abs can definitely feel it!

So I can't afford a gym membership right now, but I really need to lose
somea lot of weight. About 30 lbs. More for health reasons than vanity. The wedding is in September but I know realistically that's not going to happen by then! But I'd like to have a head start.I have a couple DVD's but I get bored easily. Are there any that keep you guys interested and motivated? I like yoga, I like cardio, I like to dance. I'm interested in trying Pilates and I need to do some toning without buying a lot of weights. Would love any suggestions!
