I am so infuriated right now. Six weeks before my friend’s wedding, I purchased a hanger for her from “creationsbytilly” – the listing said it was a “today only sale” and it came out to be like $17 which is significantly cheaper than MOST of the other bridal hangers. I SWEAR, I saw the listing say that her listing generally ship in FOUR weeks and then 2-5 days usps shipping. I expected it to ship JUNE 21 for a JULY 5 wedding. After I made the purchase and paid, I went to check on the status of it and it said something like it wouldn’t SHIP until July 5.
So, I sent her a VERY NICE message on May 30. No response. I started freaking out a bit, because what is the point of purchasing a custom hanger for the bride and not having it on the day of the wedding?
I waited and messaged her again on June 4 or 5. I said that she has to respond to the message by the end of the day or I was cancelling the order. Nothing.
So I went ahead and tried contacting Etsy and opening a dispute with PayPal – you only have 45 days from the order date to open a dispute with PayPal, so I wasn’t going to wait!
Then I left her a negative feedback about how she doesn’t respond to messages and it takes forever to get your hanger – SIX weeks, not FOUR. Which is fine, if you know in advance, right?
Then she responds to me with a very rude message to take down the negative feedback. FINALLY a response! All she cares about is her feedback. I said I would take it down if she cancelled the order. That was YESTERDAY.
Then she sends me another, NEW message, to take down the negative feedback, AGAIN! Or she will contact Etsy. I told her to GO AHEAD. If she’s so busy like she says making all these hangers bc she advertises them for the “cheapest” (I found another one for $17 who is shipping them out in a week!) then what is ONE LESS order for her?
Now, all her listings say “4-6 weeks” on them. I wish I had screenshotted it before when it said 4.
Talk about the worst customer service in history. It’s only $16 at the end of the day, but I really don’t need 2 hangers with my bff’s new last name on them lol..
All she had to do was respond to my original message and say that she cannot ship it out in time and cancel the order or that she WILL ship it out in time and I would have left well enough alone and given her the benefit of the doubt.
Has anyone else ever dealt with anything like this???? I hate how sellers “control” or try to anyway their feedback like this. Do you guys think that I’ll get the refund because I cancelled with PayPal before she probably even got to my order? I hope so. 🙁
