I’ve had the worst week! Starting Sunday, I got some kind of mutant flu from hell. Fever, headache, sore throat, stomach issues…. just crazy hellish. Then on Monday, I got an ear infection which got more and more painful until about 1am Tuesday morning when my eardrum ruptured. Woke up Tuesday morning with blood all over my ear and my pillow. Then my fever came back on Tuesday along with the worst headache of all time and my neck hurting so bad I couldn’t move. The Dr. sent me to the hospital to get a spinal tap and test for meningitis! WTF! That was my first and hopefully last spinal tap. That shit really effing hurt. But, thankfully, I don’t have meningitis. THEN at around 1am this morning, I wake up to the police pounding on my front door. Turns out, a drunk driver ran into my parked car and completely annihilated it. The car I just bought in January and spent all last year saving for. FUCKING excellent. So I’ve missed work all week, I’m sitting here with a totaled car, bloody fluid leaking from my ear, high on vicodin because my ear and head hurt so bad I can barely move without wanting to puke. I feel like this week is some kind of karmic retribution for something I’ve done wrong.
Anyone else having a bad week? Please share! Misery loves company, you know.

My FH has been working nonstop all week because his boss is out of town and my ONE coworker and I aren’t working together anymore… and the new girl has no idea what she’s doing. She’s really nice, but… clueless. I’m trying to cut her some slack since it’s her first week, but I hate doing my job AND hers.
On the upside, my old coworker and I have hung out outside work twice this week, so hopefully our really-quickly-growing friendship is going to be okay.
Still nothing compared to your week, though! How terrible! Hopefully the next month or two will be so amazing that it’ll all make up fo it!

Yep nothing like yours but
i’ve been copping it from my father about our wedding, not agreeing with how we do things or the choices we make, little to no support from my sister the MOH, work is flat out and i’ve made a few mistakes… then my 98 year old grandmother who has dementia took a turn and is probably going to die, she lives 2 hours away, they don’t know if she’s going to make it or not, or if I need to drop everything and drive up there and cancel our wedding appointments this weekend, but if I don’t cancel them and stay home I’m going to get even more flack from my family.

@Missy_Star: my weeks are usually very boring so I guess I’m making up for all the drama i’ve been missing out on! Thanks for the penis pic, never fails to make me smile, lol!
@mepayne: I hate change, so that situation would definitely make me have a bad week. I’m so glad to hear your maintaining your friendship with the old coworker! My very BFF is an old coworker of mine so it can and does happen!
@amyinbrisbane: I’m so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I keep reminding myself that even though I’ve had a bad week at least no one has died (knock on wood). I’ll hold space in my heart for you and your family.

@peasantsong: I’m sorry you’re having such a sucky week. Mine goes a ill’ farther back but it’s all connected.
So a month ago I had my wisdom teeth scheduled to come out Monday, the 15th of July, because I originally had the entire week off to recover. Co-workers (who I don’t quite get along with) asked me to cover for them on Wednesday (I refused), Thursday (yesterday) and Friday (today). My grandma passed away last Friday and the funeral was scheduled for Monday so I had to cancel the surgery and move it to Thursday. Tuesday I woke up sick as a dog with sore throat, vomiting, abdominal pain, coughing, and sneezing. Keep in mind this is 2 days before my surgery… not good. Wednesday I was still sick. Yesterday was my surgery, which went smoothly, but I am still hav ing abnormally excessive bleeding so I’ll probably call the office in an hour or so. When I say excessive bleeding I mean I ruined a pair of jeans, 2 shirts, my sheets, my pillow case, and my blanket. I woke up this morning with a face and mouth full of blood. I can’t open my mouth all the way which sucks because I’m still coughing a lot, my stomach hurts and I’m feeling dizzy because i can’t eat real food. I’m supposed to go back to work tomorrow and can’t find anyone to cover for me.

It’s been SO effing hot here this week, and I can’t handle it. We live on the third floor and have a really old AC condenser, and the leasing office does not care if it sucks, as long as it works, they won’t replace it. So it’s been 80 degrees in the apartment at 6AM and usually around 90 for most of the day. I haven’t been sleeping well because of the heat, and we have a window fan to TRY to cool down our bedroom, but it sucks in a lot of mosquitos, so I’m covered in bites and constantly waking up because I’m being eaten alive. I’ve also had headaches every day because of the heat.
My bff/bridesmaid can’t come to our bachelorette party anymore because she got scammed and they drained her bank account, so she has no money (literally) until her bank sorts that out.
I just spent $125 on ties for the groomsmen, and I swear to god, if FI’s brother doesn’t show or isn’t in the bridal party, I’m going to stab him.
My FI will. not. talk about the reception payment that’s due on TUESDAY. I don’t know where he thinks we’re getting the money for that, because I sure as shit can’t pay for that AND everything else.

@vorpalette: +1 on the heat. It is disgusting. I took furbaby outside to play yesterday and I was sweating when I was standing in one place! Give me a break. Human beings are not meant to live in these conditions. We have central AC but that doesn’t cool the top floor, so I made FI buy a portable AC to cool our bedroom. I am a bitch when I’m hot and I can’t sleep on top of that. Gr.

@MrsPanda99: Saaaaaaame. I get so angry when it’s hot. I don’t enjoy sitting on the couch and sweating. And then FI’s all over me about exercising because of my dress being too tight and I told him to fuck off the other day because I was SO pissed. I already don’t enjoy working out, and then add 90F in our apartment and me dripping sweat from doing something stupid like squats and I quit after about 10 minutes. He was all over me about it and I got SSO angry because I was either going to throw up or pass out and he was like, “No, you’re fine.” I had to walk away before I threw a chair at him.

@peasantsong: Oh noo. I’m so sorry to hear you’re on hellweek. Please feel better soon! …and same goes to your car.

@vorpalette: I would have said, I am burning enough calories sitting here sweating, thank you very much! You are so tiny, so I can’t believe your dress is too tight. I vote to make the dress bigger rather than make you smaller 😛
Honestly though, I can’t understand how anyone can like this weather. People keep saying to me, what a beautiful day! I want to tell them to fuck off, lol. Yes, walking and sweating or worse sitting and sweating is SO BEAUTIFUL!

@MrsPanda99: Ehhh I don’t want to ask my grandma to try to make the dress bigger (which I doubt it has any seam allowances to do so anyway). I’m assuming the tightness was because of how much I’d eaten that day (huge lunch), so I’m going to try it on again sometime soon on a day when I DON’T eat so much, haha. The problem is that I should have ordered a 6 instead of a 4 (since the 4’s waist measurement was already too small), but that would have been way more alterations than I was comfortable asking my grandma to do. This way, I just need to watch it and have her hem it.
People who like this weather are sick in the head. COME ALONG, FALL.
