This is my dress
Do you think it would look nice with a chiffon sash that hangs long at the back, sort of like a train but could be detachable……I was just thinking it might look really nice. my dress doesnt have a train like dress #1 does, so that made me wonder if it would work, but it looks equally as nice with dress #2, which, like mine, doesnt have a train. any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you…

hahaha the first time i read the title of your post i read black sash and was thinking…uhhhhh no. lol. i think a long sash like that would be lovely if done right. i think you’d have to match the fabric of the gown perfectly.

I read “black sash” too! lol.
I do not think a BLACK sash would work.
I think a BACK sash would be lovely!

LOL…..I couldnt think of what else to call it, i just know its a sash at the back….i bet it has a proper name but i dont know it..
thanks girls, its definately something we are going to look at doing (we being me and the dressmaker) when my dress is finished…..and being as the dressmaker is making my dress from scratch, then there shouldnt be a problem matching up the fabric. I dont know if i want it where its longer than my hem and where it trails behind me, or just hem length so that it just swooshes around with my movement or a breeze. if i had it longer than my hem i would probably have it as a detachable, but maybe wouldnt need to detach it if it was just hem length.

Im so glad you think it would look nice, when i saw the poll with quite a few NOs, i thought ‘i wonder why? cos i quite like it’ now i know. LOL
the second photo is really only there to show how it flows, but i dont think i would have it coming off the shoulders like that, i prefer it like the top picture, from the middle of her back..

after a long search i have found a back view of a dress with kind of the sash i would like fitted to my dress. it wouldnt really need tying like this one though.
