I am purchasing this dress in a couple weeks and I love corset backs. This dress comes standard with a zipper and I would love to make it a corset back. I was wondering though if it would look weird with a corset. It is a halter style but I think the zipper back looks awkward.
This is a picture of the front and the back it is a ballgown style (tulle!!)

I think it would look fine either way, it should really be about what you like, if you like it then do it.

Personally, I wouldn’t add buttons. I would add a corset if you like them! I like corset also. Go for it if it’s what you want. It won’t look bad.

I think a corset would look good but it already looks good. Welcome!

Thank you! Idk why but I am worried corset will be too much with a halter style and I don’t want to get it altered and be screwed. I will def see what others think too and even talk to the people when I go buy my dress!

That is a beautiful dress and nomatter what you do, it will look stunning. Personally, I’m not crazy about adding buttons. I also had the same concerns. I bought a Halter Top Dress, but really wanted a corset back instead of zipper. I like the look and believe that should I decide to sell it, it will give people a little more flexibility. But I did worry about the halter top with the corset back look. During my alterations, my lady had me try on a few halter dresses with the corset backs and it was super comfy and everything I was hoping for in the look so I had my corset added by Davids Bridal for around $120. My dress is still in alterations, but will get it back at the end of May. I agree with the other bee’s. Go for what you want and it will be fabulous!

I like how it looks, but I am also a fan of corset backs, and I think it could work 🙂 as previous posters said, it is about what you want, and what you are comfortable in.
