I have a size 8 or 8 and a half finger. I was thinking of going with a plain solitaire, with a few unique things in the setting, like this one
Is it possible that it may look too small on my large finger? Any ladies with a half ct. diamond on a large finger? Thank you<3

I think it will look great, I love that second one!
I have a 0.61ct on a 7.5 finger and I think the ring coverage is perfect 🙂

@avamacbeth: How pretty!
I don’t think a half carat looks small on anyone, no matter how large their hands may be. Tasteful and classic, sure, but not too small at all.

@Jacqui90: is it possible that I can get a picture? 🙂
@MsMeow: thanks, that helps me feel a lot less worried

I really like the second one. I have a size 7 with a .53 carat solitaire with side accents and it has the perfect amount of finger coverage. Plus there is enough room for two sparkly wedding bands or a anniversary band.

My ring is a .75 equivalent and my ring size is 7.5. When I first got my ring I thought the stone was huge, and some days when it’s sparkling like crazy. I still think it does look huge, haha.

@avamacbeth: A half carat is not small and I love the two rings you posted!

I have 0.43 carats on a size 10.25 hand. It’s on the smaller side, but it’s not tiny. I still really like it five years later.

I don’t think so! Mine is a .40 carat solitaire and my finger size is (according to the jeweler) a 4.5. I think a half on a size 8 would be a great size.

I have a size 9 finger with a 0.56 ct center. LOVE my ring!

@avamacbeth: I think it will be fine, here is my rhr .42 ct solitaire diamond on size 7 1/4 (left hand) finger. Lots of girls have large simulants such as moissanite/Cz/Asha, you could get a bigger look for much less if it doesn’t have to be a real diamond. Not advocating that as think quality over quantity is better but just throwing the idea out there.

@ceebree: sorry about that, I cannot figure out how to directly insert a picture in these messages! Thanks 🙂

And just to let everyone know, the two pictures are of the same ring, but from different angles 🙂
