Would a string duet be out of place for a backyard garden ceremony?

Jazz band is def more casual and, IMO, more fun

A jazz band is more casual, but if it’s only for the ceremony and not the reception, I might go with the string duet. If it’s for both, I’d definitely go with the jazz band.

I think jazz would be really cool, but I would probably go with the string duet if it’s just for the ceremony. I don’t think it would be too formal…it’s a wedding afterall!

What sort of mood are you looking for, aside from casual? Jazz would pair well if you’re going for more artsy or vintage. If you’re going for a more garden-y affair, the strings would probably suit better.

I think all that mattesr is what you like best, Jazz is more fun.  We had a garden ceremony and had a guitar and flute player. They did more clasical during the ceremony and then did Jazz music during the part before the reception and it was perfect! and so much fun 🙂

I’d do string duet for the ceremony and jazz band if it’s for both.

Jazz is more fun, but a string quartet could also be fun depending on what they play. If they played more current songs (a la Vitamin String Quartet) is could still be considered casual.

I vote for strings.  It just seems softer and more romantic.

I love the idea of a string duet!
