I'd be interested. It's not my second wedding, but my fiancee's. Commisserating with others would be nice.
If you'd like to test the category, maybe try a few posts on the subject to the Beehive and see what the interest/response is like? If it gets a big response, we'd be glad to add it!
It wouldn't be applicable to me, but I can see that being a fantastic resource for others!
Is there a more generic name for people getting remarried... like "Repeat bride" or something? I just realized that some people are getting married for the third or fourth time, so "Second wedding" might not work for them!
I am an "Encore" bride (I loved how Miss Cheese defined herself). I would definitely be interested. So many things are different after the 1st time.
I would be interested in this board. Maybe "remarriage" as a name??
I would DEFINITELY be interested. My fiance has gotten married before and I feel like we have jump a lot of hurdles that other first-timers never encounter.
I am an encore bride and this is why I came to Weddingbee in the first place! I'd been searching high and low for advice and info about weddings and found little to nothing for an encore bride.
It's important for us to have a wedding as T and I are both parents and we want to solemnize our devotion to one another and our committment to being the best parents we can be! Plus it's something we feel the kids need to experience as we become a family.
I am in full support of an ENCORE bride forum!
Imho, forever gone are the days of wearing a two piece suit in any pastel color, no flowers, and showing up only at the Justice O the Peace or doing Vegas and the drive thru chapel for an encore wedding. (I do love short suits btw, just speaking of the stereotype)
Before coming here and finding the wonderful women (and sole dude, Mr. Bee) of Weddingbee I was pretty much lost in this process. This is such a wonderful place btw!
There really is very little out there for the encore bride in planning. Most of it revolves around how to involve your children (I don't have any) and how you don't need to have a big wedding since you already had one (I didn't) when you were younger (I'm only 25 now).
What about grooms?? Weddingbee hosts men and women! What about just naming it "Encore?" You get the gist as soon as you enter the forum, and it's short and doesn't single anyone out (it's like Waiting)
Encore sounds good to me (we can describe that it's for Encore brides and grooms in the board description).
I'll set it up in the next few days... :-)

ENCORE! ENCORE! (flapping my helper bee wings!) MarquisMiss is right! There is nada on the entire internet about encore weddings.
Whether you're an encore bride or groom (T and I are both taking the encore) there needs to be info and a place to talk about it!
There are also alot of emotions that go along with being an encore bride or groom that traditional brides or grooms do not experience.
This is going to bee great!

It's great isn't it? This is the only place I've found on the internet that has a board for encore brides and grooms! But then again..such is Weddingbee!
Seriously. I got the wierdest stuff when I googled encore bride. The images and dresses almost made me gag!
