Ok so I found a dress and bought it when I was in a weird, influential state. Its not awful, but more and more I think that its... not really what I want. My mom was there when I bought it and I've showed people pictures already so I feel bad changing my mind. Especially because we are on a really tight budget and this dress costs more than we wanted to spend to begin with... my fiance even asked "Are you sure you'll love this and not change your mind" I dunno what I was thinking... The dress I am really starting to like seems to be around the same price as this dress... so now I'm thinking about selling my first dress to get it but I am running out of time and everyone seems to love this dress... am I being crazy? I know if I wear the first dress I wont be miserable because it is very nice... i just don't know what I should do...
My wedding is in May, do I even have time to do something like this?
I really feel like an idiot.
The first picture is my dress, the second one is the one I think I want... :\ Stupid indecision...
I absolutely LOVE the first dress - it's gorgeous! Do what you feel is right though - you only get one wedding day.
i personally like the 1st dress better! its beautiful, classy and timeless!
i say keep it and save your money
i think the 1st one is much much prettier! do what makes u feel better, but i love it!
I LOVE the first dress. I actually wanted to try that one on, but I found mine on a day I wasn't even planning on looking at dress. Every time I see it I'm kinda sad I didn't get to try it!
@Adriana.Niva: I much prefer the first dress. I'm not overly keen on the second one if I'm being really honest. It looks a bit like a turkey in the oven at Christmas. I would say keep your original dress. It's soft, romantic and screams bride!
wow that first dress is amaaazzzzing. the bottom is romantic and ethereal...swoon!
I would just try to remember what you loved about the first dress, especially since you're already over budget :/. It's a great dress, and you'll look beautiful in it, I'm sure.
i agree with jo.lee and other PPs that say the 1st dress is beautiful and you shouldn't have any reservations about that gorgeous dress!
your first dress is gorgeous! is there anything specific you don't love about it, or are you just unsure?
I love, love, love the first dress! The decision is definitely yours, but just remember how you felt when you tried the first dress on. I doubt you would have spent a large amount of money on it if you didn't truely love the dress. Good luck with your decision!!
I think you should do what makes you happy and what you can afford but personally I like the first dress over the second one.
To be honest - the first dress is practically the same as the 2nd. I think you might just be stressing out and not thinking 100% clearly. Your dress is gorgeous.
And - you might not even be able to sell the 1st dress who the whole amount. Or at all. So that's definetly something to think about. is the 2nd dress worth paying for 2 dresses?
The 2 dresses are almost identical. I would honestly just wear the one you have.
It's really important to be happy, but honestly that first dress is AMAZING! If it were me, I know that I'd be tempted to get another dress, but would end up being more upset that I spent so much money.
Of course you need to do what makes you happy, but I think it's really normal to have second thoughts. I love love LOVE that first dress!!! I also think the material of the second could potentially be unforgiving unless you feel super confident it you won't feel self-conscious. Do you have any pictures of you in either dress? There were so many dresses I loved on models, but when I tried them on my reaction was "EEEK!"
Good luck! And once again, I adore that first dress!
Girl, I LOVE LOVE that first dress. The second dress is pretty, but the first one is WOW. I hope this helps!
I voted "buy the second only if you could sell the first" because it's not worth financial problems or problems with your FI to have BOTH dresses. However, that was before I looked at the pictures (I didn't scroll down far enough!). The first dress is AMAZING! It is absolutely gorgeous and I love it so much more than the first.
I think you will look gorgeous in either one, but I don't think there is a huge difference between the two. PLUS, remember that on your wedding day, when your hair and makeup is done and you are glowing, no one will be comparing the two dresses. They'll only see you in the one you are wearing, and I'm sure EVERYONE will love it!!!
Firstly, I just want to thank everyone. I really appreciate it... I just get really nervous because I kind of expected to lose more weight and I don't think I look great in it. I'm already chesty so the flowers make me look like... monster chesty and I don't know how I was feeling the day I bought it. I think I was overwhelmed with how much my mom and little sister loved it and bought it out of pure emotion for how they felt. I dunno. He's pictures of me in it (that is not the veil I will be wearing)... Keep in mind, it has not been altered yet... I dunno, I feel sort of uncomfortable in it now... :-\....
I'm a big fan of you in the first dress - I love it! I think it really fits you quite well and it flatters all the parts of your body. I don't think the flowers are making your chest look larger at all. I love it!
You look beautiful! You have great curves so don't worry about losing weight... if I looked like you I'd have an easier time finding a dress! However I'm stuck trying to find an empire waist to hide my pudge lol and a sweetheart neckline to enhance what I don't have up top... my curves are all in the wrong places... lol
Haha aw thanks... Its just not how I wanted to feel I guess. Your support is really helping though, thanks bees.
The dress looks great on you, you're just being insecure, as all of us women sometimes are. In the end, do what you feel is right...but I would definitely consider the fact that everybee on here likes this dress on you!! ; ) Sometimes we don't see what other people see....
@Adriana.Niva: First, I really like your gown, the first one, the one you bought. I think it is beautiful and beautiful on you!
Now, to be honest and I am sorry to be this way and add confusion, but if you don't feel like the dress for you, then you might be happier with another one. I based this on my own experience only.....I picked a dress when I was overwhelmed and tired of looking, got it and realized that this gown was not a match for me or the theme of my wedding. I decided to sell it (which I have not yet BTW, its been 3 months on the market), and get a new one. I have never been more happy! I found my dream gown and have not looked back. I made my decision, despite the fact that I am on a small budget too.
It all comes down to how YOU feel in that dress. You need to be happy.
BTW - All my friends that have seen both gowns agree that my second and final choice is def. more "me". Good Luck!
I agree with PPs that the first dress is stunning. The second dress is OK, but looks less formal (almost like a prom dress). I'd stick with the first one. It looks great on you, BTW.
@Adriana.Niva: The 2nd dress wouldn't make you look any less chesty :) It doesn't have the flowers, but it does have more of a sweetheart neckline, which will show the ladies off even more :)
I think that you look beautiful in it. If you are worried about feeling uncomfortable, you can talk to your seamstress about adding straps.
The first dress is beautiful and my fav out of the two! But, it's your wedding, you have to do what makes you happy! Good luck making a decision!
I like the first dress best anyways. Remember you picked it for a reason! :)
It's so pretty!!! Keep your dress and wear it proudly - monster chest and all!! (By the way it doesn't look monstrous! You look great.)
