Would like some honest dress opinions – unflattering style?

Honestly, I think the dress looks great on you. It’s very pretty. Do you plan on wearing heels? I think that will help with you feeling less short (I am also a short bride, so I understand the feeling of being overwhelmed by a dress!)

I’ll be honest I was expecting a really unflattering dress you’d squeezed yourself into….but it’s gorgeous! & you’re tiny! I think the only thing it might need is tightened at the bodice to make it more fitted, and maybe a little off the hem or very high shoes! I would avoid a crinoline/hoop as I like the way the dress softly flows and a hoop would make it a little too princessy. You will look great.

I think it’s a very traditional and beautiful wedding dress. If you want to show off your figure more, I would say consider changing into something else towards the end of the night!

Maybe wearing a different bra would help.  One that gets them “up and out” more.  If it were me, I would also alter it into a true sweetheart, but that’s up to you.

mscuppycake:  I think your dress is very pretty. What is your seamstress going to do for you? Hem the bottom? Take in at the waist? Hike up the bodice? I’m not sure and don’t want to guess so let me know!

There is not much photo contrast in the pictures you gave to determine if the waistline of the dress is cinched in enough because the background of the photos you gave us contain a lot of “white” around the waist area. Is it because there is another bride or bridal gown standing behind you?

Looks great! The bodice looks a tiny bit loose, but that’s all I’d change

You have a rockin’ figure, you look beautiful in that dress but if I had your figure I would be in a nice tight mermaid style.

I don’t think you look round at all, it’s quite pretty!

mscuppycake:  I do think it’s a VERY pretty dress. Hopefully once alterations are complete, you’ll be happy with it. You really look lovely in it.

mscuppycake:  That is true, you can rock a nice tight figure flattering dress any day, but a ball gown style dress, less so! To be honest, you stike me as someone who would look good in a bin bag, so trust me when I say, the dress you have is not unflattering at all.

As I read your post, before looking at the photo, I had an image in my head. And then I looked at your photo and my first thought was, “Are you kidding me? She looks amazing!” So, yeah, it’s all in your head. You look stunning.

You probably think it makes you look rounder because it doesn’t fit yet.  When it’s fitted to you it will be gorgeous and I’m sure you’ll remember why you chose it.  Beautiful gown!
