One of my coworkers just bought in these DELICIOUS cream puffs from a local shop and they were super cheap, too ($.50 each). I wasn't planning to do favors at all, but now I want to wrap these up all cute and give them out. ;) Would cream puffs be a weird favor? They don't exactly keep past the wedding day, do they?

you would have to pick them up the day of the wedding (so the shop would have to package them) and they wouldnt really keep past the wedding.  But when I get edible favors from a wedding I ususally eat them on the spot.  Yum!  Definitely not weird, they could work!

I don't think they're weird at all.  In fact, they're delish!

I agree with KellyV about having to pick them up the day of (maybe they deliver?) and not keeping past the day, but I love the idea. I would totally eat them as soon as I got to my seat before dinner and everything started :) Yummy

As a guest, I'd be wary of eating a cream puff that was a favor since I wouldn't be able to know how long it had been sitting out :( But I love cream puffs, so I guess it would depend on how hungry I was.

Practically, it would be a lot of work to wrap them all the day of the wedding, or like Kelly suggested you'd have to get the shop to do it for you.

Yummy food is never bad.  However, as a meausre of insurance, I would either put it in something transparent, or just leave it fairly open.  (Ie.  put them on a plate at each place setting, with a little cupcake type pick stuck in it, with your names and date, etc.)  You wouldn't want someone taking it home and not opening it until two days later.

Not weird. Just make sure they keep well. (Cream puff + humid weather = bad idea). But yr wedding's in spring in LA, so should be fine :)
