My daughters wedding is December 1st in a Rose Garden. Following the ceremony we’ll be having a reception on the same grounds in the Boat House. The locations are about a mile from eachother and parking permits are needed for the boathouse parking. If you dont have a permit you will be ticketed.
I was thinking of making small cards (like thank you card size) that say something like
Please join us for a reception in the Lakeside Room from 5:00pm until 10:00pm. Dont forget to display your parking permit to avoid being ticked.
We thank you for sharing our special day with us
Bride & Groom
I will have the parking permit and the card attached with some ribbon os something and obviously the font will be different. I want want to know if this seems okay.

I think it’s very thoughtful 🙂

I think that’s a great thing to do! Some guests may not think of it themselves, so it’s great that you’re pointing it out to them.

I think that’s a good idea and it’s an effective simple way to get guest well needed information

Absolutely! Like others have said, very thoughtful of you to be looking out for the guests. I know I would appreciate it!

I totally overlooked the parking situation at my venue since it was in downtown SF but the venue provided validation and the signs were everywhere in the parking garage. At the end of my reception my dad was running around reminding everyone to get their parking stub validated… uber classy.

Are you including these in invitations or passing them out at the ceremony? I think that’s a great idea and very thoughtful to your guests.

I think the fact that you plan to take care of the permits is very thoughtful, I see nothing wrong with it.
