Quick question. My sisters bridal shower is this weekend, and we also have a cruise coming up in a few months. In an effort to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, I bought a dress that could be used both on the cruise and the shower. Her shower will be held at a quaint little café in a beachside town—so the atmosphere is very laid back and summery, even though the shower is in the Spring.
My question is… it is TOO summery for this early in the year? Darling Husband doesn’t like the shoes with it, but my sister does—so I am torn on those as well. Thoughts?

Oh, I love it! Such a cute dress! It does seem to me *slightly* summery for March, but then again, I’ve always lived pretty far inland….and I’ve been living in upstate NY for the past 7 years. Think snow. Lots of it! If you’ll be warm enough, I say go for it!

Lovely dress! What I would do is wear a white cardigan over it – to cover the shoulders and also hopefully keep you warmer since it will only be spring 🙂

I think it could totally work. I agree with the cardigan over top and some closed toed shoes.

I say go for it! It’s very cute. You can “spring” it up by pairing it with a cute little cardigan type thing if you want. Also I think the shoes are cool too! Your Darling Husband may have a better eye for those kinds of things, but I’d go with my sister’s opinion over my FI’s opinion… especially because all my Fiance ever wears are boots. And he doesn’t understand why I need so many shoes….

Hmmm. I don’t have any closed toe shoes that would go, but I do have a nice tailored tan colored blazer that could work. I could get a cardi if needed. The weather is in the mid 70’s and humid, so I doubt I will get cold!

I would throw a cardigan on top and you’ll be good to go!

I am always cold – so a cardigan is a must for me. Cute outfit!!!

It looks really cute, but I would put a cardigan with it since it might be cold!

Very cute! I agree with other bees: make it a little more formal with a white cardigan (to draw in colors from the necklace and shoes). Plus I’d bring the white cardigan on the cruise too since they tend to “over-air-condition” the dining areas in my opinion.
I love the shoes and think they match. As long as it’s warm enough to do open toed (it’s still in the 30s here), I’d say go for it!
