i think a lot of bees choose a sapphire because they consider it the best stone. A diamond, mossy etc wouldn’t be considered ‘better’, just different. Are you thinking of going with a sapphire?

More expensive doesnt mean better.  Personally, I prefer natural stones to lab, so I would prefer the sapphire over a moissy.

I have a moissy, but I would absolutely miss it if it was gone!  I love that it has fewer ethical implications. I also just prioritize having the money I’d otherwise spend on a diamond, so I don’t think I’ll ever replace it even if given the option. If you think you’d miss it, you could always place the sapphire in a different piece of jewelry.

My wedding band is white sapphires and has two yellow diamonds and to be honest they shine, shimmer, and wow people all the time. I love love love my wedding band. I wouldn’t ever change it. If something ever happened to it, I’d want to replace it to look exactly like it looks now. I had the sapphires long before DH came into the picture as a gift from my mom, so they have a lot of history and I loved it. I get countless comments on my wedding band and people are floored when I tell them they are white sapphires.
