I can’t imagine why you want to see those ones. Things happen: closed eyes, photo bombers, etc.

Hmm I didn’t ask this of my photographer but I don’t think what you’re asking is unreasonable… You want to see the “average” pics, not just the best ones. Just be up front, tell her that you’re not looking for a certain type of picture, but that you’d like to see more than just 30 of one wedding and see what she says I’m sure she can send a link to a full wedding.. If you’re not comfortable don’t book!

I asked to see full weddings from multiple photographers and they had no trouble showing me them. Some sent over files, others uploaded the pics to Flickr, where they could reduce the size without losing resolution. It was 100% worth it- there were photogs who I thought I loved, but really I liked 3 or 4 pictures out of an entire wedding collection!

I ended up falling more in love with our photographer as I viewed a few full collections, the light and the moments and style she captured were perfect.

@allyouneedislove:  You are not being unreasonable, especially with all the faux-photographers (stealing the best shots from other photographers’ websites and passing them off as their own) out there, you should be able to see a full shoot from a wedding.  I don’t know if a Facebook page with a few albums is enough, there are so many amazing photographers in CO that will work with you, you shouldn’t have to feel uneasy on your choice…I would say keep looking!

I went to meet my photographer. She showed me at least 2 different weddings and 1 short video of a wedding

Photoshop makes it very easy to scale down and compress photos so that she could send you a zipped folder, if she wanted to. The large file size is a cop out on her end.

I’d just tell her what you wrote here: you’re interested but you’d like to see something more along the lines of a complete package before you’re willing to make that decision. Then you’ll get whatever answer you get and can go from there.

@allyouneedislove:  its not always the best pics of the wedding that go up, it can be that she felt she needed more of a certain style and picked the best of that style for the wedding.

It’s very prudent to see a whole edited wedding. I have probably 50+ weddings on my online proofing I could send a link to at a moments notice if an inquiry asked. Pretty standard request. Not at all unreasonable

@allyouneedislove:  I think I saw about 100 of his photos before I booked him, but they weren’t all of one wedding. The real reason I booked him was because of his good reviews 🙂
