i wouldn’t.  You have 3 addresses that’s 3 deliveries.  it sounds like you already got a pretty nice additional discount on the alcohol.  Sounds like a pretty good compromise to me!

no. they already went out of their way to give you a discount, $20 in the scheme of wedding planning isnt a lot & delivery to 3 different places is a lot of work

@Overjoyed:  no it’s not worth it because they already helped you out by extending the discount when they did not have to. That discount was worth close to $200 or so. Better than your savings on shipping.

I’d ask, the worst they can say is no. That is a large order, and regardless of HOW you got to that amount (cider, beer..) you still spent the money. I wouldn’t cry if they said no, just worth an inquiry.

I wouldn’t push my luck. If someone gave you that extra discount in an attempt to be nice, and then you came back asking for even more of a concession, that would probably feel like having generosity thrown back in their face. And it sounds they would be justified in charging you even more than they already did for delivery, so you’re coming out well ahead.

@Overjoyed:  ah- I got mixed up with the 20% discount. In the words of some ex boyfriend- you can always ask- the worst that can happen is they say no! I have a to do list that would include something like this and would never get around to it- I also forget to return things. perhaps I would be rich if I paid more attention 🙂
