Can you sew? Honestly, it looks like something you could make yourself. I would be weary about a 3 month backlog.
Wow... $325 for that? Find someone who does that locally would probably cost half that!
That seems kind of expensive (especially if you want something other than white with no border, which seems to be what makes it special) and easily DIY-able...
but if you're still interested, I would definitely put down a deposit, but not pay the whole amount up front.
I agree with PP's it seems like a lot of money for something that you could probably easily DIY. But if you love it and you have the room in your budget for it then go for it, it is very lovely.
I would totally DIY it... It's going on the floor, people will be stepping on it, and no one is going to get close enough to scrutinize the specialty crystals. Just make your own for probably less than $75 (fabric can get expensive)

My family used to work in a sewing shop. They don't anymore but I learned a few tricks.
And hand-painted? You could guy some stencils and do the same if you want to.

I want this runner from a seller on Etsy, but I am concerned that her 3 month "lag" time will prevent me from getting my money back if for some reason she doesn't make it. She does have 100% feedback so that is encouraging but I like to know I can get my money (preferably without hassle) if for some reason this falls though.
