noooo and i’d quit the job and file a report with HR if sleeping with someone would be the thing to get me a promotion.

I think this happens way too much. It’s sad.

But hey, who needs dignity right?

Ummm no!  And anyone willing to put their marriage on the line for a promotion was not ready for marriage in the 1st place.

@flowermower:  Wait a second…cheat as in fight dirty to be the top applicant (yes, if it’s necessary to get what I want), or cheat as in cheat on my husband? Fuuuuuuuuck that.

Cheat as in fight dirty?  sure.  Cheat on husband, no.

No to either. If that’s what I would have to do to get a promotion I would look for work elsewhere.

@bebero:  Was wondering the same thing.

I work in a ruthless industry, so no to cheating, yes to pushing hard.

And infidelity? Hell no. That’s just wrong on about 10000 levels. No no no. I would leave the job first, no questions asked.

Haha nice, catchy subject line! No I would NEVER do either. Even if I were single I wouldn’t sleep with someone for a job promotion, and I think playing dirty will catch up with you later. Whoever you screwed over will end up your future boss or the person who can make or break your chances of a dream job something. I believe in karma, though.

I wouldn’t cheat (either way) to get a promotion.  I pride myself on earning what I have, and if I had to cheat to get it I’d feel like I didn’t truly earn it.

@flowermower:  Fight dirty? I’m sorry to be the bad seed here but yea. Yea I would. The other applicants/employees are going to do whatever they can to get that spot, why should I sit by and let a great opportunity pass me by? Unfortunately it’s a dog eat dog world out there.

Edit: And I only mean I would fight dirty, not “cheat” as in cheat on my husband to get a position.
