Would you consider purchasing your dream wedding dress online for something that normally cost over $2500?
If the company is legit, high quality and good workmanship.
How about if the newpapers have written articles about this company??
What are your opinions?
My friend is debating whether or not she should do it. Just because the price is too tempting.
Thank you for all your help in advance!

I am seriously considering having a custom gown made through a company across the country that I have researched extensively! Tell your friend good luck and just do her research!

Do you mean online through an American discount site or online through a Chinese company?

I would only buy a used or sample dress online, never a replica. I’ve seen huge differences in look, quality, feel of fabric etc between the inspiration pictures and the real dress. Heck, I’ve even seen huge difference between the online pics and the actual dress for actual brand name dresses in stores. So I would never buy a dress that I haven’t seen with my own eyes, felt and tried on. Although it may work for someone less picky who doesn’t care about those details too much.

I bought my dress offline. I found a website where a mother and daughter travel the country to stores that have closed for business and they buy all their gowns. My dress is an authentic Alfred Angelo Piccone 410. I love it. It was in perfect condition with tags still attached. The gown is worth 1700 I pain 570 with shipping. It was cheaper then the david’s I was looking at. I can give you the website if you like. The only downside is that my dress is a bit tight, so I am having to lose a little bit of weight which I hadn’t planned on doing.

@lesleyanneA: what site is that?

I would not buy a dress online. I think that it is so nice to get one from a bridal boutique — you can personally see the dress, have it tailored, pressed and ready to go all from the same place!

My dress was an online-only style from David’s Bridal…I felt safer with that route, since I was able to return it.
