We want something fun at the wedding since many of the attendants are in the mid 20s. We are having a scotch bar, cake bar (5 different flavors) and were thinking why not have a ball pit to chill in and take photos. We have very fun personalities and do enjoy just having fun. We arent having kids at the wedding after the ceremony but why not allow them have some fun with us until their ice cream bar and suite is ready. Would you enjoy a ball pit for photos as an adult or just entertainment?
We made it ourselves and sources the balls fresh. It wouldnt be too big (3-4 people) and set up in our welcome area for the guests. We are children at heart and so are many of our guests that are attending. It is not too formal of a reception just cocktail dress. Its mostly going to just be a party and not anything to wedding like at all except the vows. We want something fun to celebrate the new year.

I don’t think I would get in a ball pit at a wedding. They gross me out haha

@minted: I’m dressed up, so no.. not at your wedding. ETA: ONLY because I’m dressed up, not because I’m at a wedding!
At a party? It sounds like a blast! Unless someone poops in it.. 🙁

I would be confused by why it was there. And definitely not take part in it. They gross me out and I am dressed up! Skip unless there will be a lotta kids and you have money to blow.

@minted: So.Many.Germs! Not a chance I’d go anywhere near that cesspool, lol.

Ball pits gross me out. Even if only adults are allowed to be in it and I was assured that the balls and pit had be cleaned since last usage, I’d still be in nice clothes that I don’t want to enter any “pit” in.

Not a ball pit. Who wants to chill out in that? A bounce house….yes.

@SoupyCat: We were going to make it ourselves and order the balls so we would be the first to use it. After the wedding we are thinking of donating it to a local children house.

I don’t think I’d get into a ball pit at a wedding. I’d be wearing a decently nice dress for starters. Also, I think ball pits are yuck and I fear the amount of germs lurking in them.

@minted: Maybe you could just donate it and skip the part of it being at the wedding?

Bounce house, sure. But ball pit? I never understood the fun in those even at age 5…
