freshflowers:  If it were David Tutera, I’d let him choose what underwear I wore that day. Seriously, he pulls off some amazing weddings.

freshflowers:  Not a chance. I wanted our wedding to be about us not the stylist.

I dont know. I really have enjoyed planning my wedding. I love how many touches we have put into the wedding. We wrote our whole entire ceremony our selves, we made our centerpieces and almost all of our decor, I love my wedding dress, and I am just really happy. I have not really been stressed about the wedding planning.

freshflowers:  I wouldn’t need any additional budget to help persuade me to hand over control. I suck at making decisions so planning a wedding has not been fun!

David Tutera makes me crazy.  he covered a brides tattoo because it was “gaudy” but thats part of who she is and she was actually really bothered that he wanted her to cover it.  since then i’m unimpressed.

but for an extra $5k i might hand over control, if i get to tell them a dress style i like and colors, then sure why not.

freshflowers:  I would if it was David Tutera! I might even I had seen some previous weddings from that wedding planner & knew they could do a good job but otherwise, no way!

I can’t stand David Tutera. He comes off as a total snob to me. The couple times I caught his show, I got the impression that he really doesn’t like the brides he works with. I figure they must just be paying him major bank to even do it.

No. I enjoy planning and don’t have a budget anyway so $5,000 is no incentive for a potentially hated surprise.

No. I really like planning, and figuring things out with my SO. We discover elements that describe both of us and it’s a wonderful way for us to bond on weekend when we go out thrifting and to antique shops to look for unique pieces we can add to the decor. Sure, and extra 5k would be nice, but not for the sake of letting someone else who doesn’t even know us or understand our style or what is meaningful and important to us.

I wouldn’t hand over my wedding to anyone.

However, re: DT’s show… I don’t think the couple pays for this? Actually watching the part where they explain their current plans, it’s always in their backyard, they can’t afford wedding bands, etc…. so I think what DT is just the budget for the show (I could be wrong, but that’s my thoughts)

the show pays for the wedding but the couples end up getting a 1099 for the taxes they have to pay on the items.  same with home rennovation shows and the pimp my ride shows etc.
