@Cluelessbride10:  I wouldn’t but only because a kids party does not sound fun to me on Halloween. I am not sure about the germ stuff though so I cant help you there. Good luck to your mama!!!

A kids’ Halloween party might be kind of fun for a little while (I love how excited they get), but I would rather to to an adult one 🙂

Although it matters more for when your mom is actually on chemo and post treatment, it still would probably be best to not expose her unnecessarily. She’s going to need all of her strength to fight cancer and endure the chemo. Good luck to her!

@Cluelessbride10:  Yes chemo can weaken your immune system BUT if it is a couple of weeks away I would think it’d be ok, sicne her immune system will not be affected until right after and 2 weeks prior exposure any pathogen usually would have been defeated by a healthy immune system. I would still be cautious. (Sending your mom well wishes!)

I would go! It sounds like fun. It wont be weird that you dont have kids yet or a kid with you.

@Cluelessbride10:  Why dont you just stop by for a little while to say hello to your friends? Maybe it is important to them to have you show up. Just dont touch a lot of things and wash your hands and you should be fine on the sick front. I go to parties pretty often and I dont usually get sick.

nothing about that party sounds enjoyable to me! haha. if you feel it would mean a lot to your friends or you DESPERATELY need some social interaction then stop by, be careful what you touch and make a graceful exit.

eta: also, best wishes to your mom!

@Cluelessbride10:  I might just stay away then. I just wouldnt want to  hurt your friends feelings if they are wanting you to go.

@Cluelessbride10:  If you can, I’d stop by to say “Hey! Here’s some treats! Sorry, gotta go!” and that’s it.

@Cluelessbride10:  The adults will all be too distracted by all the kids to be any fun for you. I love kids but find it really taxing to be at children’s parties. Add the risk of getting sick (during cold season I caught a cold and/or sore throat from my nephew EVERY TIME he visited) and I would definitely NOT be going. Set up a double date with them for Sunday brunch!

I would go and hang out with the adults while the kids play.
